You've heard us say it once, but you'll hear us say it again! Avoid using items such as cotton swabs to clean your ears. This can often cause more harm to your ears and/or create further impaction of ear wax. If you suspected your have excessive or impacted wax, contact your audiologist or general practitioner to safely remove it.

Happy Better Hearing Month!

Protect your ears from noise exposure by maintaining a safe volume level when utilizing headphones with your devices. Limit your volume output to 60% of the maximum output level. Give your ears a break by limiting your listening time to 60 minutes at a time.

Happy Easter to those who are celebrating today!

03/23/2024

Short answer? NO! Cotton swabs often push the wax in further, creating an impaction and can potentially injure the ear drum and ear canal.

Instead, try using the water from your shower to flush out your ears if needed. If you have excessive wax, talk to your doctor about using an over-the-counter ear wax softener solution or see a professional such as an audiologist or physician to have it removed safely.
