SEPTEMBER, 2024 TESTING RESULTS

Summer is coming to an end, vacations are finishing up and students are going back to school. Many will also begin training more regularly and we are happy to see them return. Of those students that had continued training during the summer break, the following were ready for the September testing held during the week of 8/31/2024, a week early due to the Labor Day holiday.

We had a representative from nearly every rank go up for promotion, and they all did an amazing job! Please join us and congratulating and recognizing the following students who will be promoted next week…

Labor Day

Only two weeks until the 31st Annual Taekwondo America Fall Tournament!
It will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Bellevue West High School again this year. As in years past, we will be awardin the 6 foot tall 1st Place trophies in every division!

If you have not yet received your information packets, it’s not too late. Reach out here on Facebook or email us at [email protected] and we can get one to you quickly for pre-registration discounts or you can register at the door the morning of the event. As always, there will be NO SPECTATOR FEES!

AUGUST, 2024 TESTING RESULTS

Vacations and outdoor activities take their toll on indoor activities during the summer months. There still remains however, those individuals dedicated to training, no matter the time of year as they hope to gain an edge when things ramp up again when school begins.

Although a modest group, it’s no less important to recognize these students for their efforts. Please join us.

2024 CORNHUSKER
STATE GAMES

Masters Hilary and Mike Catron hosted the 2024 Cornhusker State Games Taekwondo Competition on Saturday, 7/20/2024 where taekwondo practitioners from across the state of Nebraska came to the capital city to test their skills. Taekwondo America-Omaha, NE took a handful of students to the event again this year and with a rule set they are unaccustomed to, each of our competitors represented themselves and our school proudly.

Also competing today and making us so proud as the smallest competitor in one of the largest divisions of the event but unfortunately coming up short was Blue Belt Talia Castro-Guild.

No Sparring on Sunday, July 14th.

We will not be having classes on Thursday the 4th of July and Friday the 5th. We will see everyone on Monday with all fingers and toes safely in place, hopefully!

With the 4th of July rapidly approaching, we elected to hold our July testing a week early during the week ending 6/29/2024. In spite of contending with summer vacations and our country’s birthday, we are still blessed to have a great group of people, including 7 White Belts, a student from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln Taekwondo Club (UNL) and several others moving into the Advanced ranks, go up for promotion.
