Chiropractic adjustments can alter brain chemistry, leading to effects like endorphin release, pain relief, and increased strength. The brain and body communicate constantly through the nervous system, with the spinal cord transmitting information at speeds over 250 mph. Adjustments to the neck or back have shown to positively influence brain function, offering relief and enhancing overall well-being. 😊

Spondylolisthesis is a spinal disorder in which a bone (vertebra) slips forward onto the bone below it.
Spondylolisthesis risk factors include high-impact sports, such as gymnastics and football. Genetics may put some people at increased risk. Spondylolisthesis is a condition that can create spine instability, which means the vertebrae move more than they should. Slippage and instability can put pressure on your spinal nerves, which could cause lower back pain or leg pain.
The word spondylolisthesis (pronounced spohn-di-low-less-THEE-sis) comes from the Greek words spondylos, which means "spine" or "vertebra," and listhesis, which means "slipping, sliding or movement." In many cases, spondylolisthesis can be successfully treated conservatively with chiropractic care. Call us today to find out how and schedule an appointment!

New research has shed light on the critical role of movement in our health. For instance, spine movement has been found to stimulate and expedite the healing process. Movement is so integral to healing that even individuals undergoing spine surgery are encouraged to mobilize as soon as possible post-surgery.
• The bones, muscles, ligaments, and joints of your spine are designed to support daily movement.
• Movement enhances blood flow, strength, and flexibility.
• The movement of individual spine segments can influence the healing process.

Osteoporosis is a condition in which bones become weak and brittle as you get older.
Every day your body absorbs and replaces bone tissue. With osteoporosis, new bone creation doesn't keep up with old bone removal. So over time, your bones become hollow and weak.
Many people have no symptoms of osteoporosis until they have a bone fracture.
Weight-bearing exercise and a healthy diet are important to help prevent bone loss or strengthen already weak bones. We've worked with many people who have osteoporosis. We have low-force techniques that are extremely safe and effective and are happy to guide you toward an appropriate exercise program to keep your bones as strong and healthy as possible. Call us today to schedule an appointment!

Whiplash is an injury that occurs when your body suddenly moves backward and then forward. These types of injuries are estimated to occur in over 50% of car accidents, but you can also get whiplash injuries from sports or by tripping and falling.
Signs and symptoms of whiplash usually develop within days of the injury, and may include:
- Neck pain and stiffness
- Worsening of pain with neck movement
- Loss of range of motion in the neck
- Headaches, most often starting at the base of the skull
- Tenderness or pain in the shoulder, upper back or arms
- Tingling or numbness in the arms
- Fatigue
Getting the proper evaluation, diagnosis, and care for whiplash injuries is incredibly important. Nearly half of people with chronic neck or back pain can trace it back to an old whiplash injury. Need an evaluation for a new (or old) whiplash injury? Call us today!

Your body is inherently designed for movement. Every spinal disc and joint plays a crucial role in supporting various activities such as sitting, standing, running, and moving. The discs are flexible enough to bend forward and backward, the spinal facet joints enable sliding movements during turns and twists, and ligaments connect spinal bones to provide support while muscles exert force. This system is remarkably strong and resilient when you pause to consider its complexity and functionality. 💪
How do you feel today? We are focused on helping you feel and function your best. If you're struggling with neck or back pain- call us today!📞
Even though it happens all the time, there still is a lot of confusion around disc herniations. A disc herniation refers to a problem with one of the cartilage cushions (discs) that sit between the bones (vertebrae) of your spine.
A spinal disc has a soft center (nucleus) encased in a tougher, rubbery exterior (annulus). Sometimes called a slip or rupture, a herniated disc occurs when some of the nucleus pushes out through a tear in the annulus. This can result in pain right where the herniation has happened, or pain that travels along a nerve to your arms or legs.
If you've been diagnosed with a disc herniation (or multiple herniations), don't stress- give us a call today!
The spinal cord is a crucial part of the central nervous system, responsible for transmitting sensory information from the body to the brain and motor signals from the brain to the body. The speed at which these signals travel along the spinal cord is incredibly fast, estimated to be over 250 miles per hour (or about 400 kilometers per hour).
This rapid transmission allows for quick reflex responses to stimuli and ensures that the brain receives timely and accurate information about the body's condition and surroundings. Such efficiency in communication between the spinal cord and brain is essential for everyday movements, coordination, and overall bodily function.
