Who doesn’t like a good giant truck show! Especially when there is a giant yellow fire truck there! Ontario Firefighters brought over Truck 2 to the Ontario Public Library giant truck event. We had a lot of fun showing our truck off. Thank you for the invite!!!!

We've had a "Hydrant Helper" program at Ontario for many years now... and it's grown to the other Departments that serve the Wayne Central School District as well. While it's primary focus has always been for the Winter months, locating and access to these Hydrants is important any time of the year.

Keeping a Fire Hydrant clear not only shows that you Care about your Community… it also helps your Fire Department when seconds count! Students at Wayne Central are encouraged to work with an adult (to keep everyone SAFE) to keep hydrants clear all year round.

The Ontario Fire Company is a member of FDWC and proud to support its programs at Wayne Central.

At about 0032hrs this morning, Ontario Fire responded to Clevenger Road for the report of a vehicle fire. Shortly after dispatch, it was upgraded to a structure fire with a barn/garage involved.
The fire was placed under control around 0115hrs but firefighters stayed on scene putting out hot spots and cleaning up until about 0530hrs. We were back in service shortly before 0700hrs. There were no injuries to anyone involved.
Assisting us on scene:
Lincoln Fire Rescue, Williamson Fire Company #1 Ontario Volunteer Emergency Squad Wayne County Sheriff's Office, Lyons, New York , Ontario Highway Department, Wayne county fire coordinators office and RG&E.
Walworth Fire Department provided stand by coverage for Ontario while we were on the scene of the fire.
Wayne County 911 assisted with getting all the resources we needed.

Yesterday, Ontario Fire participated in a fire and life safety event over at Lincoln Fire Rescue. Students from Wayne Central participated. A great time was had by all!!

Today, a group of Ontario Firefighters made our way to the Rochester Airport to welcome home Firefighter and Chaplain Bill Shaver from Honor Flight mission 82. Thank you for your service to our country Bill!

Honor Flight Rochester is an organization that flies our Veterans down to Washington DC to see all the memorials. (At no cost to the Veterans) It’s a great organization that relies on donations to help fund these trips for our veterans. Last night, Ontario firefighters went over our brush fire equipment. Firefighters worked with our Gator 13 and Brush Truck 30.

Tonight while Ontario firefighters enjoy our annual awards and recognition banquet, East Williamson Fire Department will be covering our district. Thank you!!!

Ontario Fire has crews standing by in all three stations today. If you need us, we will be there! Thank you to all the members that volunteered to staff the stations today!

With approximately 300 calls per year, Ontario Fire District volunteers respond to a variety of incidents; Building fires, car fires, motor vehicle accidents, off-road rescues, boat rescues and more.

Our members are able to respond from home as we get calls, and train weekly in all areas of the fire service.

Cub Scout pack 126 met at the Ontario Fire Station #1 this past Wednesday. While there they did a service project and cleaned out gym for us. They did a fantastic job! Thank you!!!

One way to help us better respond to a place of business is touring it so we know what’s inside, and our way around. Thank you for taking the time to give us a tour of your business.

Tonight, Ontario Firefighters trained on industrial extrication. Firefighters freed arms, hands, legs and feet from various pieces of equipment.

Earlier today, Ontario Fire responded to Shadow Hill Maple Syrup for a call. After we finished the call, they fed the firefighters some pancakes, eggs and sausage. Thank you!! They are doing maple syrup weekends though March on Saturdays and Sundays. The food is great, make sure you stop down and check it out!

Congratulations to the Wayne Central Boys basketball team for winning the Section V finals.

The Ontario Fire Company and other local departments will be escorting the boys basketball team back to the school. The route will be from Big Lots to Furnace Road, to Ridge road, to 350 then school. Come out and support your schools team!

This evening, Ontario Firefighters went down to Station 3 for training. Firefighters worked on forcible entry and search and rescue training in our maze.

We had 27 firefighters and 10 fire explorers participate in the training. Great job by all!
