SUCH A LATE POST THIS YEAR and you have all been asking. I am so sorry 🙏🏻
She warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within….” Happy Halloween from Dr. Moore and family! Little sister obviously picked the costume theme again and alllllll the boys were such troopers ❤️💛🌹 We won’t embarrass the teenager this year though. Happy Halloween 2024 from our TAH family to yours.

She has it all... grit, determination, beauty and brains! She is one of the hardest workers ever employed at Thornton Animal Hospital..... and one of the sweetest. She loves your babies and we love her for it!! Xaira has held three jobs while being enrolled in school and she is the first to volunteer when the extra mile is needed. Not only is she one of our part-time Veterinary Assistants, she is in the United States Army (notice her outfit choice in her headshot :) and she has since become a local recruiter for the Army. Please wish her luck in competing for the 2024 Miss Alabama USA title tomorrow at the Gouge. We are rooting for you, Xaira, and you will always embody what a hardworking and deserving Miss Alabama USA should be. You represent the USArmy and Thornton Animal Hospital so well.

We have heard mention from clients before about seeing new faces at the hospital. Being so close to a university community, most clinics in the area rely heavily on students to employ its workforce. And for those of you who recognize this one…. Stephen exemplifies the joy it is for us to be a part of a student’s educational journey. Stephen like other college students do move on, and boy do we miss him!
We had the privilege of having Stephen at our family lunch today. He worked for us while in Auburn (many of you will recognize him and remember his positive, contagious spirit!!). Stephen is now a veterinary student at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Being a free spirit himself, Stephen opted for the journey and experience of a lifetime. Gaining practical experience already, Stephen is enrolled in a 5-year veterinary program that focuses heavily on an early-approach to hands-on medical and surgical experience.
Stephen, TAH is SO PROUD OF YOU and so thankful to be a part of your journey. Keep tubing rivers like the Rhine, working in other countries where you get to explore the Swiss Alps and Mediterranean Sea, visiting castles and marching through the Highlands. You are on the educational journey of a lifetime!
We are in need of old newspapers at the clinic if any of our clients have a stack they would like to recycle. 📰🗞
Maple, you are absolutely precious….. all 2.8 pounds of you 💕

Tonight was trick-or-treating in Opelika…… little sister is obsessed with Toy Story right now, so of course the whole family joined in ❤️🎃👻 Happy Halloween everyone, from Dr. Moore, Kelly, Barrett, Whit, Ann Malone and the entire TAH family!
I wanted to share with our clients in Opelika.... a family friend from my hometown (of Kelly's) has a husband who is a pilot for the army and is currently at Ft. Irwin. Her husband shared with her that the Chaplains held a service for them and they witnessed 7 baptisms in a makeshift baptismal for some soldiers expressing desire to be baptized. It was later posted to social media on the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division FB page and she shared about this experience her husband had witnessed.
Fast forward, my friend shared that one of the Chaplains pictured, who led the music for the service and some of the baptisms graduated from Opelika High School. I do not know his name..... I do not know the year he graduated..... I do not know his story.... but I do know he is a hometown hero to us
We are so thankful to our incredible clients for nominating us and for being chosen to move on to the voting phase in the Opelika-Auburn News Readers Choice Awards 2021 for the following:
⭐️Best Animal Clinic/Hospital⭐️
⭐️Best Veterinarian Practice⭐️
⭐️Best Pet Groomer (Nellie Boland)⭐️
We appreciate your support and votes! Voting is 08/23-09/06!!!!!
