National Rescue Dog Day!

Just a reminder as we enter May. Happy May 1st 🐾 Advice: Test sidewalks with your hand. Asphalt gets VERY HOT during the day, which can burn your pet’s paw pads. Make sure to walk your dog on the grass and keep walks to a minimum during the afternoon. If it’s too hot for you, then it’s too hot for your pets!🐶

Hug Your Dog Day! 🥰

Every day is tag day! Approximately 10 million pets are lost or stolen in the United States each year, and more than 6 million animals wind up in the nation’s animal shelters. Given that dogs and cats in shelters without ID are much less likely to be reunited with their owners, identification can mean the difference between life and death for your best friend.

🌷With the rise of Spring comes along an increase of pollen as flowers bloom and grasses, weeds, and trees flourish. Just like people, pets can suffer from seasonal allergies 🤧. Here are a few tips to help reduce exposure during allergy season:

🛁Bathe pets more often
🐾Wipe them down after going outside
🧼Wash their bedding weekly
🧹Keep your home tidy
💨Replace air filters regularly

If you notice your pet is experiencing any consistent symptoms of irritation or discomfort, visit your veterinarian to have them evaluate your pets condition and discuss treatment options. 🐾🩺
