Weekend Recap: Hudson Smith snagged a nice trout while out with his family—his parents, Steven and Jessica, and his little brother, Nolan. It was their first time fishing out of our Gulf Shores location, and they had a blast! 😊

“Girl-bossing” at the Orange beach docks today. These two ladies handled our busiest dock today, getting a lot of our members on the water and all with a smile!!! Harris is building a pretty strong team!!! Let us know how they did!!!

We want to take the time to congratulate FBC Capt. Glen Sefcik on achieving the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard. This week's "Meet the Manager Monday" spotlights Cody Owenby. Originally from Gatlinburg, Tennessee, he grew up surrounded by boats and jet skis on a lake. Cody has been a part of FBC for approximately five months now. Although he favors our Seafox, he eagerly awaits the arrival of the Sea Ray. Since joining FBC, Cody's favorite aspect has been interacting with members and cultivating relationships; it genuinely brightens his day, he explains. Prior to this, he worked as a tour guide for Cypress Springs and led jet ski dolphin tours, participating in almost every water sport imaginable. Thank you Cody for making our Panama City location awesome!

Introducing Casey Tavernier, our newest manager at the Gulf Breeze location for this week's 'Meet the Managers Monday'! Originally from Biloxi, Mississippi, and raised in Navarre, Florida, Casey is currently studying business management at Columbia Southern University. With a lifelong passion for boats, he favors the 22-foot Cobia in our fleet. Before joining our team at Freedom, Casey worked at New York Pizza District in Navarre, Florida. We are so grateful to have you apart of our team Casey and thank you for all that you do!

In this week's "Meet the Managers Monday" spotlight, get to know Shelby Hangen, originally from Memphis, Tennessee, but mainly brought up in Atlanta, Georgia. Graduating from Gwinnett Technical College in 2010 with a degree in commercial photography, she embarked on her journey with Freedom Boat Club in 2006 at Lake Lanier, Buford, as a Dock Master for four summer seasons. In 2021, she joined the Fairhope team, quickly rising to become Dock Manager by 2022. Though not raised around boats, her decade in Mobile, Alabama, alongside her boat-loving husband, acquainted her with sailing. Before FBC, she honed her photography skills as a second shooter for weddings and a part-time studio photographer. She particularly enjoys the family-friendly Sea-ray boat in the fleet and values the flexibility and team spirit at FBC Gulf Coast. Thank you Shelby for all you do!

This week, for Manager's Monday, we're spotlighting Mariah! Originally from Navarre, Florida, she's been an integral part of Freedom Boat Club for nearly two years. Mariah's top pick from our fleet is the zodiacs; she loves their speed, comfort, and the giant cushion that's perfect for soaking up the sun. While she finds it tough to pick just one favorite memory with FBC due to countless enjoyable moments, she'll always cherish the impromptu photoshoot she had with MJ, one of our training captains, on the Aqua patio. Mariah values her coworkers, who not only excel at their jobs but also know how to have fun. Despite not having prior boating experience, Mariah brings a wealth of enthusiasm and dedication to her role after previously working in a locally owned restaurant kitchen in Navarre. Thank you Mariah for all you do!

This week's Meet the Managers Monday shines a spotlight on Harris Downey, hailing from Spanish Fort, AL. With almost four years of dedicated service to Freedom, we proudly announce Harris's recent promotion to manager at our Orange Beach location. His favorite vessel from our fleet is the twin-engine Cobia 262. A fond memory for Harris is witnessing the owners initial struggles to park the Crownline in the slip, a challenge they anticipated. With a lifelong passion for boating, Harris brings invaluable expertise to our team. Before joining Freedom, he gained valuable experience at a beach service company! Thank you Harris for all you do!
