Born in Istanbul, I apprenticed at 11 to a family friend who was a jeweler. I owned the shop by the age of 15 1/2 creating one-of-a-kind jewelry by hand using gold, gemstones and semi-precious stones. After coming to the United States, I went on to create pieces for Cartier, Tiffany, and Henry Dunay. I eventually owned shops in New York, California, St Thomas, and Greece.
