The most popular time for garnets were the Victorian era. You’ll find them in a lot of vintage sets. It was also used for alleviate inflammation and other ailments.

People have mistaken glass stone for garnet. Especially in the Victorian era. So be careful out there and get your pieces certified by someone you trust.

Red garnet is the preferred color for the stone but it comes in a wide array of colors.
