May is National High Blood Pressure Education Month and a great time to check your blood pressure. According to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NIH), half of all Americans have high blood pressure and many don’t even know it. The Library has blood pressure kits that you can check out for free with your Orange Public Library card. Educational supplies and materials are also included in each kit, along with referrals to local health resources. STEAM for Teens & Tweens: Protect Your ‘Eggstronaut’ For decades, NASA has designed vehicles that must protect their precious cargo—human astronauts (and robots!)—when landing on the Moon, Mars, or returning to Earth. Now, there is a heavy emphasis on reusable vehicles, to help decrease the cost of space travel.
