Today, we’re sharing a staff pick from our Library Assistant Erika:
“Her Right Foot by Dave Eggers is a California Young Reader Medal winner for picture books for older kids. This book goes into detail about the history of the Statue of Liberty and what she represents. There is a lot of interesting information, as well as a very moving overall theme to the story. Students and teachers learning about early American history will really enjoy it. I found this book to be incredibly inspiring, a great read for kids and adults!”
