Robert completed Colorado Springs first ever Up and Running Again half marathon training program in 2021. Two years later, he is sober, working at the Springs Rescue Mission, attending church, and spending his free time running with and encouraging a brand new group of Up and Running Again participants as another new season launched at the Springs Rescue Mission this week. Hear what Robert had to share about his Up and Running Again experience!

Finish Line Friday! When you picture someone crossing a half marathon finish line you probably envision them with their arms raised high in the air, a big smile plastered across their face. But some finishes look more like this. Running 13.1 miles is really really hard. Sometimes you have to leave every last piece of yourself on that course to get across the finish line. That’s was the reality for Rob last weekend. But when he couldn’t do it alone, his team stepped in and supported him to the finish line. Up and Running Again is about so much more than just helping people find individual success. There is a distinct camaraderie that forms throughout the training season. Congratulations again to all of the Long Beach and Orange County finishers. May you continue supporting one another in whatever life brings. And as for Rob, he is okay and was smiling and dancing not too long after finishing. #homeless2halfmarathon #halfmarathon #finishlinefriday #runningmotivation #teamwork

Singing @lauren_daigle songs while running? Yep, Cassie, from @lbrescuemission loves to run and sing. Both @ocrescuemission and @lbrescuemission runners did great today on their run. And even more heartwarming was seeing multiple members stopping under the bridge to talk to the homeless and encourage them that there is a better way. #homeless2halfmarathon #training #worshipmusic #encouragement
