A few weeks ago( not that this isn't really every day! LOL) I just had so much going on in my head, I brought out my acrylics and just let it go, making marks and shapes and putting out colors I like. I'm calling these 'Thoughts of the Day'. Someday we just need to remember it's OK to have fun and not worry about how things will turn out for those moments.

Hydrangeas 8x10 oil on canvas. I haven't had the chance to grow these yet, but maybe now is the perfect time to add one to my garden. The painting helped quiet my mind today, after being around a crowd of people, I need some solitude to refocus.

Daffodil.Study It's saying '"Ta Da!! Spring is about here! The early signs. This is oil on an 8x10 canvas. Love these flowers as a bright subject and reminder of the renewal of life in springtime.

Good Morning! MORE Daffodils, another attempt after doing some drawing practice on the flower structures. That corona, bell shape part with the frilly edges, such an amazing little 🌼 flower they are.

Happy Wednesday. 🌻 Today's attempt at Daffodils. So many in full bloom already, saw some down the street on my walk the other day.

Weather was amazing today, 75 degrees in February! Painted at the park with our local plein air painters group. Great group! My efforts at painting the bench overlooking the river and dam. Tomorrow's high 29 low 19😵‍💫🌪❄️

Before we left for New Mexico I took him for a swim in the Kish, this was painted from a picture from that day. Always an adventure with that guy!

Started painting some Poppies in different vases, this past December. The art gurus say to work on a subject in multiples to find the things you like and make corrections from there. All done in Acrylic 14x11 on canvas. Happy Galentines and Happy Valentines Day!

Ahh, all the cactus in the landscape during my time in New Mexico, and I always love to see them bloom. There are so many paintings that have come from things we experience. These would make a great print collection??
