This week’s SENIOR SPOTLIGHT is Katherine Rose Farr!

🩰 Katherine started dancing when she was three years old and has been training at Center Stage for the past two years.

💛 She’s excited to be attending TAPS (Theater Arts Preparatory School) in Las Vegas this coming September-March to further her training in dance, voice, and acting. After that, she plans to work in the industry, perform, choreograph, and pursue her passion for the arts!

✨ A little more about Katherine:
* She has choreographed her own solos for the past five years!
* She was a Hollywood Connection Teen Company member for the past three years.
* Katherine is represented by MTA (Movement Talent Agency) and is excited to continue working with them after graduation!
* She loves her puppy, Chewy (see last slide 😊)

This week’s SENIOR SPOTLIGHT is Madelyn Kennedy!

🩰 Madee has been dancing for 16 years. The last 6 at Center Stage. Her favorite genres are hip hop and ballroom.

✨ Her favorite memories are competing at nationals every year!

🩷 She is most proud of being able to get back to dance after having knee surgery two years ago and not letting it stop her from doing what she loves!

💜 Madee plans to continue dancing with her ballroom partner and is excited about auditioning for the Utah Jazz Dancer Team! 🏀

I would tell younger dancers not to worry if a door closes. It’s okay to feel sad at first, but then use the opportunity to grow. More times than not, you’ll be amazed at the BETTER door that opens for you next. I’ve been grateful for my closed doors and where they have led me to next.

Up next for our SENIOR SPOTLIGHT is Jaylynn Lindley!

🎓 She is graduating from Salem Hills High School

🩰 Jaylynn had been dancing for 15 years, 4 years at CS

✨ Her favorite dance memory is performing Travis Wall’s group dance at the Dance Awards Gala

💙 Future plans.. She will be attending Brigham Young University majoring in Biology! She also wants to be an Orthopedic Surgeon to help young athletes

🤩 Jaylynn has several accomplishments she is most proud of! She was Miss Utah’s Teen in 2023. She also put together the Find Your Fire Scholarship and raised $5,000 for high school teens in Utah! She has over 1,000 hours of community service and received the Scholar Award for Academics.

💛 Her advice for young dancer is to “Enjoy the journey. While we dedicate ample time to classwork and less time on stage, my primary advice is to relish the process of learning, evolving, and honing your craft as a dancer. It is essential to set goals that are not solely focused on the end results. Frequently, dancers tend to establish goals that are beyond their influence, which can lead to consistent feelings of disappointment.”

“Over the years, my dance experience has taught me that the key to achieving lasting happiness is by setting objectives that are within our control. By doing so, you are more likely to find joy in the journey and be content with your progress. Dance is supposed to be fun! Let it be fun!”

We are so so proud of you and love you so much, Jaylynn! Keep being the amazing light that you are❤️

This week’s SENIOR SPOTLIGHT is Emersyn Dickson!

🩰 Emersyn has been dancing since she was two years old and came to Center Stage when she was 11

✨ Her favorite dance memory is winning Studio of the year with her team in 2019

💙 Future plans.. she is so exited to attend BYU as a member of the cougarettes!

🤩Accomplishments that she is the most proud of are placing top 5 at Miss Drill Utah, receiving a dance scholarship the University of Utah, and signing with the BYU cougarettes!

💛 Her advice to young dancers is “to cheer for everyone and do your best! Try not to compare yourself to others!”

We love you Emersyn! So excited to watch you continue to shine!

🩰Abigail has been dancing for 14 years

✨Her favorite memory is meeting Fik-Shun and being able to take one of his classes!

💚She plans to go to either BYU or UVU next year and try out for their dance teams.

💛She is most proud of being cast as Clara in the Nutcracker
