What is so special about today? (Other than my boyfriend's birthday? Johnny Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls 😆)

Today is my 7-year Explantaversary! I can't believe it's been 7 years since I had my life-saving surgery.

The photo on the left is of me about a month before my life-saving surgery. The fake smile, just trying to get through the day, mostly bedridden, unable to climb a flight of stairs, not really even able to care for me.

The photo on the right is me right now, confident, strong, the healthiest I've been in years. Truly,the difference of before and after and why this day means so much to me. I feel ALIVE!

It is so hard to explain what it feels like to be living right in the middle of (Bii)-Breast Implant Illness. I'm sure you have heard from women experiencing it, hat it "feels like I'm dying"."Well, that is the best way I know how to describe it, but it still is missing feelings like desperation, fear, frustration, sadness, loneliness, isolation, confusion, survival, with so many more diverse overwhelming emotions.

Being so sick for 10 years with no answers as to why was the darkest time of my life. I missed out on so many events, with my family, friends, and especially my children. Precious time that I can never get back. I went to multiple specialists and doctors. Bii is an invisible illness, not one medical professional that I came across in my search ever thought to explore that it could be my breast implants.

Well, it was my breast implants. Explant/Full Capsulectomy is the only procedure I had done, I knew immediately once they were removed that it was my implants making me sick. I have included in my photos a common symptoms list for Bii. The highlighted symptoms were the symptoms I was experiencing. Some of the symptoms disappeared immediately. Some took a little longer to go away. 7 years later, I only have fibromyalgia and food intolerance.

I am so grateful to have my life back.

If you know anyone with unexplained illnesses that have implants, please tell them to look into it as being the root cause. I know it saved my life having them removed.
