Don’t forget! Reserve your spot for our A.A. in Dance Performance in-person audition on June 29th, 2024! Audition applications must be submitted by today!

The A.A. in Dance Performance audition will consist of a technique class: ballet barre and center, modern combination and jazz combination. Individual choreography or a solo is not required. Participants are encouraged to wear black leotards and pink or flesh colored tights for the women and white shirt and black tights for the men. Please bring all dance shoes.

This is Jasmine Thomas! Jazzy has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She is currently working on her Associate in Arts in Dance Performance Degree Pathway, a member of Valencia Dance Theatre and is President of the Art in Motion club. Jazzy’s plan after Valencia is to transfer to a four year university and obtain her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance.

Fun Facts about Jazzy:
- She loves cats and has one named Zeke.
- She was invited to the Jon Lehrer Summer Intensive this summer.
- She loves concerts and has been to 5 in the past 2 years.

This is Milo Posillico! Milo has been dancing since she was 4 years old. She is currently working on her Associate in Arts in Dance Performance Degree Pathway, is a member of Valencia Dance Theatre and is Vice President of the Art in Motion club. Milo’s plan after Valencia is to transfer to a four year university and obtain her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance.

Fun facts about Milo:
-She draws and plays electric guitar.
-She likes F1 and soccer.
-She has a red parrot macaw named Red.

This is Marissa Cruz! Marissa has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She is currently working on her Associate in Arts in Dance Performance Degree Pathway, is a member of Valencia Dance Theatre and is Secretary of the Art in Motion club. Marissa’s plan after Valencia is to transfer to a four year university and obtain her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance.

Fun Facts about Marissa:
-She was born in New York.
-When she is not at school, she is a preschool teacher.
-She is an avid fan of astrology and the app Letterboxd.

This is Jehieli Bonilla Adorno! Jey has been dancing since she was 6 years old. She started her dance journey with folklore and ballet, then continued with jazz and modern. She graduated high school in Puerto Rico and came to Florida to join the Associates in Arts Dance Performance Degree Major Pathway. She is also a member of Valencia Dance Theatre and is Treasurer of the Art in Motion club. Jey’s plan after Valencia is to transfer to a four year university and obtain her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance.

Fun Fact about Jey:
-She is a singer in a band.
-She was born and raised in Puerto Rico.
-Her favorite artists are Mitski, Mac DeMarco, Paramore, and Radiohead.

She is currently working on her Associate in Arts in Dance Performance Degree Pathway, is a member of Valencia Dance Theatre and Publicist of the Art in Motion club. Yari’s plan after Valencia is to transfer to a four year university and obtain her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance

Fun Facts about Yari:
-She was born and raised in New Jersey.
-She had a surrealism painting featured in the main gallery of The Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, FL.
-Her favorite music artists are Frank Ocean, Brent Faiyaz, and Sade.

First up we have Ellie Rose Miller! Ellie has been dancing since she was 2 years old. She is currently working on her Associate in Arts in Dance Performance Degree Pathway, a member of Valencia Dance Theatre and Officer At Large of the Art in Motion club. After Valencia, Ellie plans on performing at the theme parks in Orlando. She also wants to expand on her dance photography skills. Ellie wants to continue in leadership in arts administration/theme park entertainment management in the future.

Fun Facts about Ellie:
- She’s obsessed with Disney and Taylor Swift.
- She’s from Las Vegas, NV.
- She was homeschooled for most of her life.
