High profile events in our nation's capital come with the territory. sometimes, those events include 14,000 volleyball athletes and coaches and 100,000 spectators for the nation's largest volleyball tournament. Regardless of the type of event or number of guests, our teams are always ready to provide exceptional and safe guest-focused services.

Earlier this month, Washington DC played host to the Capital Hill Volleyball Classic, one of the nation's largest club volleyball tournaments. Our teams at the JW Marriott, the Marriott Wardman Park and the Homewood Suites were at the heart of the action and worked together to develop and execute a customized success plan to ensure a seamless experience from the very first car parked to the final family departure.

While we are used to events of all sizes, this added a level of complexity with many visitors traveling in two cars loaded with a lot of sporting equipment, luggage and more. Our teams parked 1,000 cars - 300 more compared to last year and helped 3,000 guests navigate the city throughout their stay. We heard from many appreciative guests regarding the exceptional service delivered safely without any reported incidents.

Thank you to the entire team, from our leadership team to our dedicated Guest Service Associates, for working long hours to ensure every element of their visit to Washington DC was best in class.

You don't have to be a hospitality veteran to make an impact on your guests, your client or your team. Aaron Burrell's search for a flexible job that would fit in with a busy college schedule ended when he came across an opportunity with Towne Park.

Working as a Guest Service Associate, he's found a home and a place to build his skills with the Towne Park team at the Westin Indianapolis. He's known for always showing up with a smile and a drive to challenge himself to learn new things and find new ways to grow. He consistently offers the guests he serves and his team members a customized, dedicated experience - so much so that in January he was named Indianapolis' employee of the month.

Congrats to Aaron and the entire Westin Indianapolis team for putting smiles on the faces of their guests every day.

Guest Service Associate John Gale has always been a trusted, well respected leader among his Towne Health teams. John serves just outside Denver at Lutheran Medical Center, where he has made a special impact on the patients and their families he greets daily.

Recently, John was recognized with the hospital's Monarch Award, which honors employees working at the hospital who consistently demonstrate exceptional care and live the hospital's values in everything they do.

Towne Park Account Manager with the JW Marriott Hotel Miami, Rostom Ramadan, is known for encouraging, challenging and recognizing the members of his team regularly. To start the new year, he wanted to recognize the team for their work in a more personal way, so he wrote this letter:

“I would like to thank each one of you from the bottom of my heart for the hard work and outstanding effort you provide to our guests and partner each day. Your service never goes unnoticed and you deserve all the credit in the world for making a difference to our guests. I am honored to be your manager and to learn something new every day. I am looking forward to what 2020 has to offer to us as a team and I know that everyone will be ready for the challenge as we always say, ‘Good enough never is.’"

At Towne Park, encouraging, mentoring and supporting the success of our teams comes in all different formats, programs and opportunities, including a quick, heart-felt letter.

Our team at the Autograph Collection Hotel Distil and Moxy Hotels Louisville Downtown worked around the clock to make a grand opening party last month for the hundreds of guests and the nearly 80 vehicles that arrived and departed throughout the evening an incredible success.

Congratulations to Account Manager Dragan Pala and the team who set the bar high for exceptional service on day one and continue to raise it every day with thoughtful and welcoming guest services that match this hotel’s rich history, culture and heritage.

Towne Park associate Jaime Trevino does whatever it takes to make his guests feel welcome at the Marriott Plaza San Antonio - from helping a guest with their luggage at the moment they arrive to suggesting a local restaurant before their first outing in a new city. Many of his guests have returned specifically asking for Jaime because of the personal, customized experience he provides every day.

Jaime was recently celebrated when he was named Towne Park Associate of the Month in the San Antonio area. Congratulations to Jaime and the rest of the Marriott Plaza San Antonio team for going above and beyond for our client and guests.

Providing excellent service to our guests is always the expectation at Towne Park and it's especially rewarding when an industry leader like the Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association recognizes our team members for the exceptional service they provide to their guests every day.

This month, Aaron Pringle, a Guest Service Associate at the Residence Inn in Philadelphia, was named Valet of the Year - one of a group of Towne Park associates nominated for the award this year, which included Nacir Carter (Loews Philadelphia), Jeffrey Pierce (The Logan Hotel) and Luis Hernandez (Marriott Downtown).

Aaron provides his guests with a truly memorable experience that goes beyond their arrival and departure. He's often seen recommending attractions to visit, places to eat, methods for navigating the city and even introduces guests to local bus drivers on the route outside of the Residence Inn - all of this to ensure they have the best experience possible.

Aaron has a remarkable personality and a passion for guest experience, which is exactly why he was named Valet of the Year in Philly.

This month, we're proud to welcome a new class of future scholars with the launch of the new and expanded Dream Scholars program.

Dream scholars awards four scholarships to Towne Park associates and family members annually so they can achieve their educational dreams. It's all part of the Towne Park Foundation's mission "Mobilizing Dreams" to rally our teams and hospitality expertise to help our associates, their families and kids in the communities we serve.

The Towne Park team at the Ga***rd Texan in Dallas worked long hours over the Thanksgiving weekend to make the hotel's annual "ICE!" holiday themed ice and light event a success. The event brings thousands of visitors from all parts of the globe to the Ga***rd Texan throughout the holiday season and our team spends the holidays away from their families as they work around the clock to ensure every guest visiting the property has a memorable experience from arrival to departure.

To recognize the outstanding service and commitment during the busy holiday weekend, our team was treated to a special Thanksgiving celebration. It's a small token of our appreciation for the guest focused service this team provides every day.

Enhancing our patient experience is what we’re all about. Towne Health team members Kim and Solomon represent the best of Towne Health and the compassionate and caring experiences their patients, family members and visitors have come to expect.

Kim, a Site Supervisor at Hilcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, makes such a memorable impact on each patient she greets. In fact, one was so moved by her care, that they personally delivered these flowers and this note.

Solomon, a Guest Service Captain at Mt. Carmel Health
System in Columbus, Ohio, was recently recognized by the hospital for going above and beyond in creating a welcoming and caring experience for a patient who was feeling uncertain during their arrival.

On this Thanksgiving day, we would like to thank our team, who work day and night – and often around the clock, rain or shine -- delivering the very best service where every interaction is thoughtful, memorable and matters.

Passion and service excellence runs in the Theodros’ family. Debebe’s father worked at Towne Park and Debebe followed in his footsteps as a Guest Service Captain at the Ga***rd Palms Resort in Orlando.

Debebe has a passion for people and being able to work with his team at the Ga***rd Palms and interact with guests every day was one of the things he loved most about his time at Towne Park.

In 2011, Debebe was awarded the Valentine Memorial Scholarship by the Towne Park Foundation, helping him to achieve his dream to attend medical school at Johns Hopkins University and become a doctor. He recently joined us at our Foundation Partner Recognition Dinner to share his experience at Towne Park and how the scholarship impacted his career.

“My time spent working alongside fantastic individuals at Towne Park was a blessing. Day in and day out, I was able to witness what teamwork and camaraderie can achieve and I was given the opportunity to learn from the best.”

Kris Fischer leads the Towne Park team at Providence Sports Care at Providence Park, a state-of-the-art sports medicine and orthopedic center and client partner in Portland, Oregon.

He is well known at Towne Park as a veteran who is committed to recruiting and training the best teams and future Towne Park leaders. In just five years, he has personally developed 11 Account Managers and Assistant Account Managers who work in the market today.

Service and caring for others is what drives Kris and, in addition to his work with Towne Park, he is active in the community, volunteering his time to a local patient transportation organization.
