Oh how I love this ✅
The bright pop of blue, the shiplap wall and wine rack, the wallpaper, it just all came together so perfectly.

The house had a coat closet which was really useless here in Central Florida. So we opened it up. That left a "less than perfect" wall which I then covered up with shiplap. It was easy and fun. Adding some canned lights above this area made it a lot brighter.

The entry was still dull and felt like you were walking into a wall, so I added color and a wall mounted drop zone to make the entry more visually interesting and practical.

And then there's the wallpaper that gave the color inspiration. I love how it made the whole room look more modern.

The light fixture is from Amazon and is one that I use a lot because it looks great at a great price. I have a link to that in my Amazon store in my bio. if you'd like to shop this picture. (wallpaper, wine rack, entry cubby, light, etc are all Amazon)

Then some great flooring and staging and voila! a totally different space.

This master bedroom in the Casa Coquina Condo was dark and small. I repainted and added my favorite flooring (provided to me by ). Then, to make the room look wider, I installed a shiplap wall.

Since I wanted to have this entire condo renovation as a series of DIY projects, I purchased old nightstands from the Restore. I transformed them using some blue paint and new pulls.

I added some great wireless sconces from Amazon (they're listed in my Amazon storefront if you need something like them). Then, it came time for the bed. I ordered a frame and mattress, as well as the bed linens, from Amazon so that they were inexpensive and conveniently delivered to the door.

For the headboard, I created a jute headboard tutorial and made it myself!
Finally, I brought a little more texture to the room with the curtains, sheer but with a cute pom pom textured detail, and set the rod wide to make the window look larger than it is.

It was a lot of fun and I've just spent the weekend there enjoying this very spot!

Before and after of a bedroom in a recent Winter Garden flip. It looked terrible when we bought it, but it was just cosmetic stuff when it came to this room. If you can look past the cosmetic, you can really transform a room with just some paint, flooring, and beautiful large white 5 1/4" baseboards (which I always put into renovated properties because they make every room look so much more elegant).

So, I just completed something major! I published a renovation book! I think we took this kitchen from dated to dreamy with this well-planned renovation. Adding white cabinetry and lots of light, in the upper cabinets and with the canned lighting above, really made a difference. This kitchen went from blah to beautiful with some strategic upgrades! As a passionate advocate for smart home investing, I love to bring out the potential in spaces without going over budget.
