What a phenomenal ending to EMS Week!

Supervisor Dave Freda provided a great meal with pulled pork, pulled chicken, grilled pineapple, pasta salad, and a kale and feta salad to close up EMS Week.

AMR Orlando wants to shout out a huge THANK YOU to our crews for always providing top patient care and going above and beyond. We are so proud to call you our crews!

EMS Week took a lot of help and we thank everyone involved in making this happen.

It's our traditional BBQ today and we have quite the feast being prepared for our crews.

Happy EMS Week Save-A-Life Thursday!

Our CPR competition was fierce and everyone is a winner because skills were being practiced and improved.

CPR works up an appetite, so we fed the hungry contestants (and all crews) with Jersey Mike's.

After everyone had those hunger cravings satiated, we hit up the OneBlood bus to donate life-saving blood.

We grabbed Kihree Sherrod as he came in for lunch and presented him with his drawing prize.

It was a great day for everyone!!

We are halfway through EMS Week 2024! On this beautiful Wednesday, crews were treated to a fantastic Pasta Bar prepared by our own Stephanie Wenck-Juliano. We had baked ziti, fettucine alfredo and salad. Chris and Jerae helped out on the amazing garlic bread too!

We had a great time visiting with 2 of our Medical Directors, Dr. Fitzpatrick and Dr. Infanzano. They toured the station, chatted with crews and enjoyed some lunch with us. We are so grateful they stopped by for a visit!

We rotated in the crews all afternoon and we even had room to bring in one of the Tampa trucks. That beautiful digi-camo truck is the Tampa VA truck and her crew stopped in to grab some delicious lunch and get to meet and greet with all of us here in Orlando.

To round out the day, we brought Kona Ice of Millenia to the station to provide sweet, refreshing shaved ice to our crews.

Thursday is Save-A-Life Day and AMR Orlando is setting up a Head-to-Head CPR Challenge for our crews!!

Crew members will be able to participate in a head-to-head CPR challenge allowing them to practice their skills and see a quick summary of their skill score.

Find Stephanie tomorrow at the station and she will set you up. Compete against your partner or another crew member and freshen up those life-saving skills!

For Safety Tuesday of EMS Week, here are some tips to help you
be prepared when calling 911:

• Stay calm: You will need to communicate clearly with the call taker
• Know the address of the house or building you are at, including the street address and
unit/apartment number
• Know the phone number you are calling from
• Communicate the nature of your emergency and related details
• Tell the call taker if anyone needs medical attention
• Be prepared to follow any instructions the call taker might give you
• DO NOT hang up until the call taker instructs you to do so

Happy EMS Week Taco 🌮 Tuesday!

A home cooked taco bar was setup for the crews today. Stephanie Wenck-Juliano, Chris Kennison and Ed Badamo prepped and cooked everything. We even had fresh churros!

Many thanks to our crews for keeping on top of calls while we rotated everyone in.

Bingo cards are now available for today's and tomorrow's shifts. Pick one up at either station or ask your Supervisor for a copy.

Happy EMS Week 2024!

We had breakfast pastries on Sunday to kick off the week and our digital Scavenger Hunt started.

Today we provided lunch from Jersey Mike's and handed out EMS week cups. We were grateful to have Karma and her handler, Bob Garner out to the station today too.

Our prize giveaway today was a FitBit and the winner was Morgan Mosley.

KARMA is at the station for a visit!
