Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the ongoing violence in the Middle East. We are heartbroken to witness pain, suffering, and trauma.

We earnestly pray for peace and righteousness to prevail. May God comfort every person who mourns, and may He strengthen every family who grieves.

We believe God sees, hears, and cares deeply for the brokenhearted, wounded, and afflicted.

May the Lord’s love, grace, and compassion prevail in this broken world, and may light shine in the face of darkness and bring healing to the nations.

Nuestros pensamientos y oraciones están con los afectados por la violencia actual en el Medio Oriente. Estamos desconsolados al ser testigos del dolor, el sufrimiento y el trauma.

Oramos fervientemente para que prevalezcan la paz y la justicia. Que Dios consuele a cada persona que está de luto y fortalezca a cada familia que está de duelo.

Creemos que Dios ve, escucha y se preocupa profundamente por los que tienen el corazón quebrantado, los heridos y los afligidos.

Que el amor, la gracia y la compasión del Señor prevalezcan en este mundo quebrantado, y que la luz brille ante la oscuridad y traiga sanidad a las naciones.

On September 8, Morocco was struck by a 6.8-magnitude earthquake. The death toll has been increasing rapidly. Recent official reports are of over 2000 dead and more than 1800 others injured.

This earthquake event was the most destructive in the area in the last 120 years. All personnel are accounted for.

As we begin providing the essentials, please be in prayer for our partners and response to this natural disaster. The earthquake hit in the Atlas Mountains about 40 miles away from the capital of Marrakech. Local reports show that some of the villages in the mountains have been completely leveled. But reports of destruction are coming in from cities around the country.

Prayer Points —
The first few hours have been very chaotic, mostly because so many people are rushing to help.

The focus seems to be in the mountains: food, water, and shelter are priorities. Praise the Lord the government seems to have a great response in hand.

People are afraid to enter their homes; they are sleeping outside at night.

Pray for emotional trauma as the reality of the death toll sets in.

Pray for the church to be bold in a Christ-centered response, opportunities to bring healing physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Our hearts break for the thousands who have been affected by the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Turkey and Northern Syria early on Monday morning. At least 2,300 people have lost their lives in the disaster, according to the Turkish vice president. No AGWM partners are known to have been affected. Please join us in praying for those who are grieving and those who are in need of aid. 🙏🏼 ❤️

Nuestros corazones se rompen por los miles que se han visto afectados por el devastador terremoto de magnitud 7,8 que azotó Turquía y el norte de Siria el lunes por la mañana. Amada Yokary hoy has volado a los brazos de nuestro Padre y hay fiesta en los cielos. Contagiaras a todos con tu hermosa sonrisa, con tu solidaridad, con tu entrega y pasión a las cosas de Cristo. Pero nuestro batallón llora. Llora porque hoy hemos perdido una guerrera. Pero no lloramos como los que no tienen esperanza. Sabemos que hoy estás con El, riéndote y danzando y eso nos consuela. Hermana no es un adiós, es un hasta luego.

Hermanos, no queremos que ustedes se queden sin saber lo que pasará con los que ya han mu**to, ni que se pongan tristes, como los que no tienen esperanza.
