Our Story

Globalization is a reality for us all and it will have an increased impact on Christian mission now and in the future. Congregations need missional models for ministry in a post-modern world: action models that demonstrate the transforming love and grace of God, meet the felt-needs of those being served, and strive for human progress and sustainable development.

Compassion Creates Change™ has established Transformational Engagement Centers in Central America and Africa. Transformational Engagement Centers partner with church-based community development partners in global communities of need to create change by attacking poverty at its roots and implementing methods of strategic development.

Compassion Creates Change™ achieves this mission through the following:

Collaborate - To create strategic alliances or collaboratives of individuals, agencies, businesses, and churches for leadership, community and economic development.

Administrate - To build and maintain an organizational infrastructure for collaborative partnerships.

Resource - To resource the collaborative by identifying existing and/or producing curricula, evangelistic tools, training, and collateral.

Educate - Offer capacity development (through educational forums, consulting, and leadership institute) for congregations and organizations who seek a transformational missions approach in a globalized world.

Below, are descriptions of the current projects, programs and partnerships of Compassion Creates Change™:


Malnutrition Therapy for Vulnerable Children
Approximately half of the children in Compassion Creates Change’s target communities suffer from malnutrition. Through its Transformational Engagement Center in Managua, Nicaragua, Compassion Creates Change provides nutrition therapy through medical screenings, medical-grade nutrition products, and capacity management services. Recipients of this program also receive training in dietary nutrition.

Community Health & Healthcare
Compassion Creates Change offers community health programs in its target regions. The community health initiatives provide anti-parasite tablets, mosquito nets, and hammocks to children and families living in poor conditions. These frontline prevention strategies fight malaria and other parasitic disease that are common in the villages where we serve. Recipients of this program also receive training in hygiene, water purification, nutrition and public health.

Micro-finance & Business Creation
Compassion Creates Change supports job and business creation in communities of extreme need through the micro-enterprise and leadership development partnerships. In 2010, Imani Bridges invested $3,000 with Charismatic Renewal Ministries (CRM) in Nigeria to establish a credit union to provide banking services for the denominations 500 churches in Nigeria. Since then, numerous micro-loans have been awarded to members to start small businesses.

Leadership & Capacity Development
Compassion Creates Change offers consulting and capacity development for congregations and organizations who seek a transformational missions approach in a globalized world. LaPaz Summit is one of its educational forums. Participants of LaPaz receive training for ministry in a post-modern era through plenary sessions, workshops, and worship. It provides a fresh Kingdom perspective on the purpose, principles and practices of ministry and mission among those on the margins of the human community.


Mission Trips & Transformational Engagement
Compassion Creates Change organizes and manages transformational engagement teams, mission trips on behalf of churches or groups of individuals, into Central America and Africa. Transformational engagement trips provide models for ministry and mission in a post-modern world: action models that demonstrate the transforming love and grace of God, meet the felt-needs of those being served, and strive for human progress and sustainable development.
