Transforming lives through the magical power of words! Support, learn, and stay in touch! PUBLISHING STUDENT WORK.
TRANSFORMING YOUNG LIVES THROUGH THE POWER OF WORDS! Every year, Page 15 hosts a variety of literacy programs that playfully and powerfully engage youth in sharing their unique creative voice while reinforcing and advancing critical reading and writing skills. From the first draft to the final edit, these programs are designed to support readers and writers of all abilities. Here's what we do:

Now more than ever, Page 15 needs YOU to rally behind the arts in Florida!
Last month, Florida's governor vetoed ALL arts funding statewide, stripping away vital operating support funding that helps arts organizations cover expenses like salaries and utilities and insurance. This funding allows organizations like Page 15 to invest even more in what you care about: the ART!
This sweeping decision doesn't just impact Page 15's essential funding of $38,374, or Florida’s $5.7 billion arts and cultural industry and its 91,000 full-time jobs—it affects thousands of children who receive important arts education through programs like Page 15.
Let's stand together and support Florida arts! Click the link in our bio to donate. 💚

One of our favorite parts of Young Writers Summer Camp is getting to see a glimpse into the minds & processes of talented young authors. We love nothing more than seeing a young author craft and revise! ✍️💚✨
Characters are the most important part of a story-- we love learning more about the characters your young authors create! Here are our 5th and 6th graders sharing the character they made together in our small groups.

Meet last week's author, ! 💚✨
Sarah Allen is an award winning children’s author whose books are filled with quirky, neurodiverse characters, STEAM elements, and a sense of finding Joy in the weirdest and most unlikely of places. Her books have been Jr. Library Guild selections, Whitney Award winners, A Mighty Girl Best Of pick, and state award winners. Sarah regularly teaches at writing conferences and presents at schools across the country. She lives in Orlando, and signed copies of her books are available from Writer’s Block bookstore.
She spoke to our 3rd and 4th graders about her different motivations for her books and about writing what you know! Our young authors got to take home copies of her books: "What Stars Are Made Of," "The Nightmare House," and "Breathing Underwater."
Page 15 is in search of Graphic Designers to work with our young authors at summer camp to design their very own book covers! Pay is $65 per day.
Not experienced with Photoshop, but a genius with Canva? That works, too! We love Canva!
Interested? Email examples of your work and availability to [email protected].
What's Dori's story?
Dori is a card-carrying native New Orleanian, a dominator of dance floors, and an all-around super dope human. And as if that wasn't enough, she has a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Masters in the Art of Science Teaching. Her teaching experience spans over 25 years, including middle school, secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels. Dori is currently the Campus Director for Faculty and Instructional Development at Valencia College. Since joining the board at Page 15, Dori has served as both president and vice-president, providing steady guidance and expertise to help capture the power of our pedagogical approach.
We're looking to expand our board! Email [email protected] for more information ✨
"Of Poets & Poetry," the literary magazine of the Florida State Poets Association, included three pieces from our twelfth annual anthology!

For those that don't know, Julia is a proud Edgewater Eagle and life-long Orlandoan who has dedicated her life and career to building safe spaces for young people to enjoy the freedom of authentic creative expression! When she's not making our fair city a better place, you can find her cultivating her garden, reading, and raising boys.

Our Story
WRITE for REAL.
At Page 15, we believe anything goes…as long as it gets kids excited about reading and writing!
Page 15 @ PARRAMORE - We may L-O-V-E the language arts, but Page 15' staff and its army of qualified volunteer tutors is available to help students in any subject in our after-school Homework Room. This program runs Monday-Thursday from 3pm-6pm in the Downtown Rec Complex (363 N. Parramore) and is open to any student in grades 2-12.
PUBLISHING STUDENT WORK. The sense of accomplishment and authenticity when sharing personal work cannot be encouraged enough, so Page 15 is committed to publishing student work through its annual High-School Anthology project. Each year, High School students from around Orange County are invited to submit a short story or essay to be considered for final publication in a beautifully bound, illustrated book.
CREATIVE WRITING CAMPS. During the spring and summer breaks, Page 15 hosts creative writing camps that playfully and powerfully engage youth in sharing their unique creative voice and talents while reinforcing and advancing critical reading and writing skills. The Young Writer's Camp is held over 6 weeks each summer and offers students the opportunity to write, illustrate and publish a book with the help of creative professionals. SLAM Camp is hosted during the spring break holiday and offers high-school students the opportunity to write, record and perform an original piece of poetry with the help of professional poets.
