My good buddy and neighbor Lyle brews beer occasionally and he brought me his latest version of what he calls a Bavarian Bock. It was so good I asked him if I could make his recipe. He was happy to share it with me and this is the result. I don't think I have matched Lyle's version but its pretty tasty. Malty with a hint of sweetness. I gotta get Lyle in here to help me make the next batch!

We’ve been playing around with our bloody recipe for a while and we finally got it right! Spicy, but not too spicy. You can only get it at the distillery.

I like just about everything i do running Ozark Distillery but there’s nothing quite as intoxicating as the wonderful aroma of a good bourbon mash. The entire building smells soooo good!

So here’s a bottle of bourbon aged in the barrel my good friend Steve Paschen built a guitar from.
I think its the only guitar in the world built from a bourbon barrel. How cool is that?

Don't really know what to say about this. After all these years I still love to put our sauce on just about everything from scrambled eggs to a pulled pork sandwich. Dip your french fries or brush on some baby back ribs at the end of the cook. Nuff said...

Ok, public service announcement:
You cannot bring your own food or drinks into our facility. This includes cans of beer, bottles of beer, bottles of water, stainless cups, yeti cooler cups, etc... We don't know whats in them and we don't allow you to put your drink in one to go. You don't take your own food into someones restaurant. If you can't understand this and need to belittle and berate our staff you will be asked to leave. I'm done with the attitudes. Don't come to our facility if you are unwilling to abide by our rules.- Dave

Ozark Distillery makes 12 distilled products including 9 flavored moonshine's, a old school corn whiskey moonshine, vodka and bourbon whiskey. In addition, our brewery produces 4 to 6 craft beers available in our tap room. Everything made right here at our facility on Hwy KK. We don't compete, we create.

Sometimes fermentation takes on a mind of its own. Tours will be interesting today!

Ok, we are looking for a delivery driver for the distribution of our products in Missouri. You have probably seen our delivery van's running around the state. Must have a valid drivers license and neat appearance. 2 or 3 days a week with full time possible for the right candidate. We are too busy to answer endless questions on here. If you are interested, take the time to come and talk to us.
Pay starts at $14 hr plus a per bottle commission. Message us here to schedule an interview.

We are donating all of the proceeds from our Distillery Tours this Saturday, May 27th to the Camdenton Debate Team. The debate team had one student win the State Championship and 2 students will be competing in the National Debate Tournament in Phoenix, Az. And, for whatever reason, they must pay their own way to compete, so we want to help them with a donation. Come for a tour this Saturday and help our kids with expenses as they travel to the National Tournament!

Say what you want but this is the perfect lunch!

When i saw what was swimming around in the bowl when i was young it was my first experience with false advertising!

I have been instructed to let you all know we are open 10am to 8pm today rain or shine, or moonshine.
I didn't want to make this post but my decision was vetoed by the rest of the crew so here it is. I feel like i've been voted off the island or something. Gonna be a fun day at OD today.
By the way, the Peep Shine was awful. I'm using it to kill weeds.

We are open 10am to 8pm Wed-Sat. A 4 day work week with 3 days off. We are hiring full time and part time positions. What are the positions? Everyone gets to do everything including tastings, bar tend, make a pizza, help bottle moonshine, label bottles, do dishes and clear tables, and cleaning. We also have fun! Ozark Distillery and Brewery is about making sure the customer has a positive, fun experience. Look at our reviews and you will see what we’re about.

Did a lot of experiment’s last fall and most were failure’s. But this coconut cream pie moonshine is one of my favorite creations!

Yep, Its Bikefest at Lake of the Ozarks!

Part of my morning duties includes our raccoon escape protocol. The staff notified me several months ago there were 2 raccoon’s in the trash dumpster and they couldn’t get out. Using the experience of a rural upbringing i knew just what to do. This has now become a weekly event. The raccoon’s slip into the dumpster in the small hours of the night, gorge themselves, and patiently wait for me to put their escape ramp in for the morning exit.

They say Rye Whiskey is made with distillers tears..this is our first attempt at making a true rye whiskey! Whoever said that is right, it’s thick and hard to work with. I looked up George Washington’s Rye Whiskey recipe and tweeked it a little to my liking. Instead of 60%rye I used 70%rye with 20% corn and 10% malted barley. Time will tell if we have made something worthy of the Ozark Distillery name!
