OSHKOSH, WI (August 12, 2024): The Oshkosh Police Department assisted the Lake Winnebago Area MEG Unit by conducting several search warrants in the City of Oshkosh.

Based upon a drug investigation conducted by the Lake Winnebago Area MEG Unit, search warrants were issued for residences located in the 900 Block of Wright Street, the 500 Block of Scott Avenue, and the 300 Block of Dove Street in the City of Oshkosh.

The search warrants were served by the Oshkosh Police Department’s SWAT Team, Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and the State of Wisconsin Joint Tactical Team. As a result of this search warrant, four individuals from Oshkosh were taken into custody.

They were arrested for various felony charges related to possession and distribution of illegal controlled substances. One male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and another male was taken into custody for violating his Probation rules. This investigation is still ongoing.

The Oshkosh Police Department and law enforcement agencies in the Fox Valley continue to work diligently to investigate crimes of this nature. The presence of illegal drugs and drug dealers poses a threat to the health, safety, and well-being of our residents. We will not tolerate the distribution, sale, or possession of illegal narcotics within our city. We will continue to work tirelessly, utilizing all available resources to identify and apprehend those individuals who engage in these destructive behaviors. We stand united with our community in the fight against drugs, ensuring Oshkosh remains a safe place for all.
