Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department Carnival July 31 - Aug 4, 2024.

The Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department Annual Carnival begins July 31st.

The Carnival will open at the conclusion of the parade on Wednesday, July 31st and run through Sunday,August 4th.

New this year, we will have earlier hours, opening earlier Saturday and open at 12pm Sunday Afternoon!

Enjoy the parade, carnival rides and games and don't forget to get our world famous sausage and pepper wedges.

This year's raffle winner will be awarded a Grand Prize choice of an ATV or Personal Watercraft!!! Don't forget your tickets.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the Annual Parade beginning July 31st @ 7pm.

Police: Man pulled from Ossining house fire dies at hospital Police say the man appeared to be in his 30s and was the only one inside the house at the time.

Cataract Hose would like to congratulate one of our own, Deputy Chief Donnie Farrell on being sworn in as Second Vice President of The Fireman’s Assocation of the State of New York “FASNY”.

Donnie is a life active member of Cataract Hose, having held multiple positions within our company, most recently our Chief Driver. In Donnie’s time with the company he’s been President, Lieutenant, Captian, Chief Driver as well as Chief Engineer of the Ossining Fire Department from 2003-2004.

Prior to being sworn in as 2nd VP of FASNY, Donnie held a position with FASNY on their board of directors. He also presides on numerous committees within the Westchester County Volunteer Firefighters Association and the Hudson Valley Volunteer Firefighters Association. Donnie has always been an advocate for volunteers across the state and we know he’ll continue to do what’s best for all volunteer fire fighters across New York State.
