This is my boy, Ollie. He needs to be the center of attention and always comes out to see what’s going on.
Are your cats social or persnickety about people?
Yes. I have a massage voice, just like others have a "phone voice". 😀
Every session is about the person I'm with. It's their space, their time, their session.
When is the lasts time you had an hour or longer dedicated just to you?
Yo, yo, Yomassage.
That's right, Yomassage combines mindfulness, therapeutic massage, and restorative YOGA so you can relieve your stress and connect with your body.
The best day of the week (or month) is massage day!
Tell me if you agree!
I fully support this message.
Don't let anyone make you feel guilty or chastise you for loving yourself. It isn't selfish or self-absorbed.
Love yourself because you are worth it.
Yomassage is provided in a small group environment, so it's a great opportunity for a Girls Day Out, spending quality time with a parent or (older) kid, or just hanging with some friends.
It's also a relatively new type of bodywork that a lot of people are not familiar with, so if you've had a session, or just want to give it a try, it's more fun with a friend!
April shower bring May flowers and a whole new chapter to incorporate self-care into your life daily!

Cupping is one of the oldest body treatments for pain and ailments.
I prefer to use silicone cups because there's no fire involved, so I feel safer and I don't have to mess with balancing the cups, a handheld pump, and the tubing to connect them.
Silicone cups are flexible, feel more comfortable, and are easy to clean and disinfect.
When the cups are placed on your body, you may feel a slight suction or lifting of your tissues, but it shouldn't be painful.
Many people feel like it's more effective than a "deep tissue" massage. It increases the blood flow, ups the immune system by creating localized inflammation, and stimulates lymphatic drainage.
Unique facts about Yomassage:
1. It's performed fully clothed
2. It's done in small group settings so you can bring a friend
3. It includes mindfulness, restorative yoga, and therapeutic touch
4. It costs less than a traditional 1:1 massage
5. It's perfect for people that want to try massage but are nervous about getting undressed, or being in a room with a stranger touching them.
If you want to find out more about Yomassage, please ask me anything!
Massage therapy isn't just a passion. It's an evolving art that always provides something new to learn.
I love being able to add new tools (like ) into my repertoire to help clients achieve the goals they have for their sessions.
Are you someone that likes to try new types of massage or do you prefer to know what to expect?
Let's break the idea that "just relaxing" is somehow frivolous and unnecessary.
Quite the contrary, relaxation can reduce pain and help you feel better without pharmaceuticals.
Taking the time to activate your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) so your body gets out of a stress response is not only helpful, it should be considered a priority.
How are you going to relax this week?
Yoga blankets can be used to offer soft support to your body or they can be used to keep you warm during poses while we practice mindfulness.
They are just one of the tools that can be used to provide a Yomassage session that is deeply relaxing.
The next Yomassage class is Saturday, April 2nd. Book online at kellytaylorlmt.com
We are all perfectly imperfect and that's OK.
Accepting all the messy bits is giving yourself unconditional love and you deserve it! (Hint: the messy bits are probably some of the bests parts about you!)
Let me know one of your messy bits you are ready to love and embrace.
This month, there is only 1 Yomassage class and it's this weekend!
Don't put off joining the class because it will be over before you know in and then you will have to wait for April to join the next class.

On average less than 23% of people get massage. That means you have friends that have no idea how beneficial massage is for their mental and physical health.
Friends tell friends about massage and Yomassage!
Answer yes if you agree.
Touch is essential to the human experience.
Touch can impact anxiety, depression, stress, and the nervous system.
Infants can have developmental delays associated with touch deprivation.
Massage decreases symptoms of PTSD among military veterans.
Touch trains neural pathways – safe, therapeutic touch re-trains the brain to predict safe interactions.
While yoga has been shown to be extremely beneficial for both the physical body and emotions, adding the powerful element of touch has the potential to exponentially increase positive effects for the mind and body.
Yomassage is a blend of restorative stretches, meditation, breathing, and therapeutic touch.
It's what your body craves.

Experience something different with cupping.
Instead of pushing on your muscles and tissues, cupping gently lifts and decompresses your tissues. The result is soothing and relaxing by decreasing pain, tension, and releasing scar tissues you may have.
Restore yourself physically and mentally with bodywork.
I offer a variety of therapeutic bodywork including Yomassage so you can feel better in your body.
Research shows the right kind of touch can lower blood pressure, heart rate, and cortisol levels, stimulate the hippocampus (an area of the brain that is central to memory), and drive the release of a host of hormones and neuropeptides that have been linked to positive and uplifting emotions.
The physical effects of touch are far-reaching.

Are they a nostalgic flavor of your youth or flat out disgusting?
How do you feel about them?
Massage education isn't static. I'm constantly adding new modalities (like ) to my repertoire so that I have the tools to address my clients needs in the most effective and safe way possible.
It's important that I stay informed as information about how massage works has evolved in the last decade and more research is being performed all the time.
When you book a session with me, feel confident that you will receive the best work I know how to provide.
I often add cupping to massage sessions because the therapeutic benefits include decreasing pain and tension and aiding in providing you with relief.
I prefer to use silicone cups because of their ease of use and my ability to thoroughly clean and sanitize them between clients.
They are soft and squishy and don't feel uncomfortable when placed on your body.

Our Story
I am a licensed massage therapist with a wealth of experience. In 2013, I received my Massage Therapy license and have continued expanding my knowledge and skills since that time. I am certified in Pre-Natal massage, Cupping Therapy and RockTape kinesiotaping. In addition, I also incorporate neuromuscular and myofascial techniques in my sessions.
There are no cookie-cutter massages, here! Each session, I listen to what your needs are and work with you to develop a plan, while letting the body guide the treatment that's needed that day.
