Shepherd Middle School serves 7th and 8th grade students in Ottawa Elementary District #141.
Attention Shepherd students! We have an opportunity for you to earn Purple Cord hours over the summer! Both 8th grade and incoming 7th grade can volunteer to help pack meal bags each week to earn Purple Cord credit. DON'T FORGET.......Today is meal pick up day from 10:30 to 1 pm at Shepherd Middle School. All you need to get your meal bags is your last name and the number of meals ordered. See you there!

OOPS! The original post stated pick up Tuesday, June 5th, but it is actually Wednesday, June 5th! Our first meal bag will include Italian Dunker, Corndog, Chicken Strips, Sloppy Joe and Breakfast for Lunch!

Shepherd Band performed in the Memorial Day parade yesterday. Kyana B. and Micah S. presented bouquets for the memorial service. As always, the musical performance was outstanding and we are so proud of our students sharing their talents with the community.
Several Shepherd students visited Washington D.C. over Memorial Day weekend. We hope everyone had a great time and made lasting memories!

This past weekend, four Shepherd students participated in the AATSP Regional Spanish Culture Contest at LaSalle-Peru High School. Congratulations to Ahida M. on her beautiful artwork, and congratulations to Amy B. and Brennen H. on taking 3rd place in Instrumental Music and to Angel M. for taking 2nd place in the Vocal Music category. Wonderful job!

Shepherd Middle School is seeking a 7th Grade English Language Arts Teacher for the 2024-2025 academic year. Qualifications include a Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Middle School Language Arts. Operation Snowball is a motivational club centered at Ottawa Township High School. We aim to provide a sense of community and preparedness for 7th and 8th grade students preparing to attend Ottawa High at our upcoming event on Sunday, April 28th! This event will be held in Kingman Gym at Ottawa High School and will feature guest speaker Ted Wiese. For more information see attached flyer. We hope your students can attend!
