Happy Gotcha Day Kobe!!!!! One year ago today this sweet guy became a part of our family and soon after an essential part of clients’ lives as well.

Look at who just graduated from Advanced Education!🦮❤️ Next step is the Canine Good Citizen test. Kobe still has some more training to do but he loves coming to the office with mama everyday and getting scratches and love from every client. 🫶🏼

Kobe is so dedicated to go to work that he refused to get out of the car for at least 5 minutes when mom headed home after school drop off rather than the office for admin/paperwork day. 😆🥰

Welcome to the newest staff member! Today was Kobe’s first day on the job. He is still in training to be a therapy dog but trying to test the waters. So far he has been caught sleeping on the job 🤪but otherwise did great for his first time!

I am not great at posting on Facebook, but this is worth posting. Yes this is worth celebrating, but there are still too many barriers for trans youth and adults that are detrimental to their safety and mental health. Please know that our shared office space continues to be a safe space for all.🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈✌️

It all adds up and keeps weighing you down. We often wonder why such a "little thing" can make us break down; but we have to look at what we've been carrying the whole time.

The office is closed until January 7th. I look forward to seeing everyone after the break!

The weather could not have been more beautiful today for Walk and Talk sessions. I had to go back and get pictures of these guys practicing mindfulness in the sun. 🐢🐢🐢

October is flooded with pink, but don't forget the purple. Did you know that 1in 3 women and 1 and 3 men will experience sexual assault, physical abuse, emotional abuse and stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime?

There are 6 area Domestic Violence agencies in the Greater Kansas City region. Get to know them and donate towards their urgent needs. Most importantly seek help from someone you trust if you are beginning to suspect you are in an abusive relationship. Psychological abuse is so sneaky and manipulative it is hard to pinpoint

BELIEVE SURVIVORS. You will likely only hear a small bit of their story. Be okay with that. Listen and support non-judgmentally with what they want to share and don't push to know more despite your natural curiosity. Also remember its THEIR story to share, not yours.
