Single-family existing-home sales prices climbed in 86% of measured metro areas in the fourth quarter, up from 82% in the previous quarter. The national median single-family existing-home price rose 3.5% from a year ago to $391,700.

More Than 80% of Metro Areas Registered Home Price Increases in Fourth Quarter of 2023 Fifteen percent of the tracked metro areas saw double-digit price increases in Q4 2023, and the 30-year fixed mortgage rate fell from 7.79% to 6.61%.
