I’m so thankful that I was able to spend my birthday running around enjoying the beautiful day, and sharing love for some of my neighboring small business.

Started at with a delicious lunch with my beautiful Mom- totally forgot pics, I think it was because we struggled so hard with using the touch screen to order! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

Then we headed to for some yummy deserts.

And of course we had to make a stop at for the first time (been trying to show some restraint, they are way too close and have two of my collection weaknesses - plants and books - one can never have enough 🤣). Had to pick up a few plants - one’s called Spider Bonnie (my Momma is Bonnie!!!) so of course she was coming with me, plus another baby and some cool inspirational pens!!! And see Mom, I found space for the plants, I always do, lol.

Then I got to enjoy some of the best BBQ at or as we still call them, Oklahoma Joes, lol. Finishing the night off with some cake.

This is the first year that I can remember since my early 20’s (now 47!!!) that I didn’t have any sense of depression about my bday, only joy at getting older.

I think it’s because I’ve been working really hard on staying in the moment and being grateful. I didn’t allow myself to mourn my youth, rather I appreciated the blessing that I am still here, a blessing that’s not always given. It was such a beautiful day of love and happiness being surround by those I love most.

Now, I just have to work on not getting depressed with every bday my daughters have - you know cause they’re growing up
and closer to leaving the nest, way too fast in my opinion. This one might take awhile.
