Congregation Beth Torah
Reform Jewish Congregation | Overland Park, Kansas Like the Burning Bush, Congregation Beth Torah is a beacon of warmth in Overland Park, Kansas.
Through musical worship, opportunities to come together in education and connection, and acts of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), Congregation Beth Torah offers our diverse congregants multiple paths to experience Judaism within our intimate congregation. Congregation Beth Torah is a proud member of the Union for Reform Judaism. All are welcome to join our Erev Shabbat Services on Fridays at 6:3
Today Beth Torah hosted the fourth Community Assembly of the Good Faith Network. This was Beth Torah’s third time hosting the assembly.
Over 400 people attended to discuss the progress GFN has made and to choose the forth topic of attention for 2024-2025 … Elder Care.
Damien Timms - our Executive Director - gave the welcome and opening prayer.
It was a privilege to host and Beth Yorah looks forward to continuing its close relationship with the Good Faith Network.
We've got everything we need right here. Let's do this!

Moses tells us that Torah is not too far away. It is not in the heavens, that we should say, "Who among us can go up and get it?" Neither is it beyond the sea, that we should say, "Who among us can cross to the other side and git it?" No, the thing is very close to us, in our mouth and in our heart, to observe it.
The same with Shabbat. It is not out there somehwere, it is in here. With us. Wherever we are. May you all find the shalom within on this Shabbat.
Shabbat Shalom, all....
You Rocked The JFS Food Drive! 1,943 lbs!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Yes I said three thank you's, because I cannot thank you all enough. This is a worthy and oh so important effort. Feeding those who go without is one the most important mitzvot we can engage in. Our Beth Torah Family showed up and stepped in and gave with gusto. Thank you so much. All up we collected 1,943 lbs of food to go to those who need it.
We truly are the community we need.
Damien Timms.
Congregation Beth Torah 5785 High Holy Days.
Thank you all for making our High Holy Days meaningful, enriching, purposeful, and special with so many people. From Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur to Sukkot to Erev Simchat Torah, you turned up with your usual Beth Torah energy and smiles. So many of you participated and the feedback has been particularly joyful and positive.
You saw and noted the efforts of all involved. It was a truly inspiring and meaningful High Holy Days Season. Please enjoy just some of the many photos taken during that time (some are from the live feed and not taken during services). Many blessings to you all.
Our Annual Beth Torah Spice Drive Is Back!
We have filled the food pantry shelf with staples, and now we take the opportunity to help families in need beautify and enhance their dishes. Now through November 30 we will be collecting spices for the JFS Food Pantry, culminating in Spice Up the Night Havdalah. Help us ensure our local families in need have everything they need for a delicious meal!
