Last week we began a new series in the Gospel of John that will go over the seven “I am” statements of Jesus.
First up: “I am the bread of life.” (John 6:35)
We walked through John 6:22-68. (We encourage you to go back and read/study this passage in your own time with God). Scroll through for a little recap!
Key takeaways:
🔵 Jesus’ words are challenging to the disciples because what he says contradicts who they thought Jesus was and their own ideas of God.
We too, can have our own ideas about who God is supposed to be but the truth is, we cannot be the ones to define him.
🔵 Jesus is the only thing to satisfy our hungry souls. And what he says is challenging, but we must submit to it in order to be refreshed and renewed. Jesus came so that we may have eternal life.
See you on Thursday as we continue our studies in John! ⭐️⚓️

We welcome Pastor Mary Brown as our guest speaker at Harbor KC this week! ☺️ Mary is an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and is the founder of Simple Church in Overland Park, KS and she also serves and leads at Freeman Presbyterian. She also has teamed up with us at Harbor, eagerly joining in God’s mission here. (We are so grateful to have her with us! 🙌)
Mary will be teaching us about the significance of Communion and what it means to be the “Bride of Christ.” If you’ve never heard of or considered what that means, then join us THIS THURSDAY to learn more! ✨
This week, we welcome one of our founding leaders, Nathan Doom, as a guest speaker. 🙌 (Nathan is our designated “line-leader” if you’ve been to Harbor before 😄). He is also a media missionary and is working on an animation studio, called Bannered Studios, that’s mission is to create gospel-centered videos to reach people online. 🎥
Nathan’s message this week will go over the Lord’s Prayer - the prayer Jesus taught his disciples to pray. We are excited for him to lead us this week, join us on Thursday to be part of the discussion! ✨⚓️
Last night’s recap! If you missed last night, here are some cliff notes. 📝 ✨Where are you? ✨
