We are looking for a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented person to work in a civil litigation law firm with an emphasis on family law and business litigation.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of evidence, discovery requests, and basic pleadings. This candidate should also feel comfortable communicating with clients, attorneys, and court staff on a daily basis. It is crucial that a person in this position be flexible and organized enough to work on daily priorities without forgetting longer term priorities on each case so that each case is progresses forward in a timely manner.

Critical qualities of the ideal candidate is someone that is organized, works projects through completion, and understands the responsibility that comes with the job both to the firm and to the clients. Specific tasks include:

Assist in all aspects of discovery including sending our written discovery requests, collection of evidence and documents, interrogatory responses, business record subpoenas, and requests for admissions;

Review and draft routine legal documents;

Keep clients up to date and informed about the progress of the case and any information needed from them
Create and maintain case files; and

Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders.

Experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant; Bachelor's degree, Associate's Degree, or Paralegal certificate preferred.

Compensation depends on experience;

We have an opening for a weekend file clerk/administrative assistant position. The hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. More hours could be available depending on the applicant's availability. Office experience, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and organizational skills are required. Paralegal, legal secretary, and book keeping experience are preferred.

We also have full time openings for an experienced paralegal (civil litigation or family law experience is required) and either an associate or law clerk. These positions can be found on Zip Recruiter. If you are an attorney, I am open to either an office sharing over-flow arrangement or associate position.
