There are so many theories and suggestions on the best time to post to social media. No matter what theory you subscribe to, being CONSISTENT with your posting schedule should be one of your top priorities.

Being consistent with your posting (even just 1-2 times per week) keeps your followers informed and engaged, and keeps your brand recognizable. Being consistent with your posting will encourage growth and engagement.

Once you have verified your business on Google you need to make sure to optimize your profile. (See my previous post if you need info on how to verify your business on Google).

Use this handy checklist:

✅Complete EVERY section of your business profile. The more information and more complete it is the more information can be shared with your customers.

✅Make sure your business is properly categorized. This is important so that your company will come up properly when customers do a search for the type of business you own.

✅Use exactly the same business name, address and phone number on ALL your platforms (website, social media, GMB, etc). Being meticulous about this is vital to the Google algorithm and your credibility.

✅Update Posts & Pictures weekly. This is a service I automatically offer my clients so that they don't have to worry about updating their Google listing. Adding location pictures, specials, hours, behind the scenes, quotes and the like help to keep your profile active and engaged.

✅Collect and respond to reviews regularly. You can share a link and ask your customers to provide a review directly to your Google Business profile. Be sure to check the reviews you receive and respond accordingly. This kind of attention to your profile helps to build your credibility and trust with your customers.

Set a time in your weekly calendar to post to and review your Google Business profile. Keep it updated and tended to and it will be sure to benefit your business.

What do you know about Google My Business?

It’s a valuable tool for your business and it’s simple to get your business verified.

Having your business verified on Google allows you to to take control of the information related to your business. Being verified improves your visibility in local searches and literally puts your business on the Google Map.

To get started simply go to Google and type in “Google my business”, scroll down below any ads and you will see “www.Google.com>business” and below it you will see an option for “verify your local business”. Click and get started!
