The was my way of releasing the negative trauma of my incarceration. Some have said that they readjusted without hiccups. But the reality of it is that is not the my story. My mental health was affected, my family relationships struggled and my friends were living their lives. This week I am releasing my feelings of being thought of as less then, I am releasing the guilt of leaving my children and I am forgiving myself for ever believing that I did anything wrong. It was a learning experience.

I am still putting the pieces back together. There are things that you know, and there are things that you don’t know, but there are also things that you don’t know, that you don’t know; unless you’ve done a day behind a door, you will never understand my struggles.

We are ONE, we are a network, we are a sisterhood and we are here in support of one another.
