Pace Fire Rescue has been proudly serving the Pace, Pea Ridge, Floridatown, Wallace, and South Chumuckla communities and its visitors for over 60 years. Thank you to all the agencies, friends, and neighbors that assisted with the brush fire that occured on Quantrill Ln Thursday. Units from Pace Fire, Allentown Fire, SRC Emergency Communications Center, and Florida Forestry Service worked together to control a brush fire that burned 14.4 acres of an undeveloped area. The cause of the wildland fire was due to open burning on the vacant lot. Please follow the Florida burning regulations with open burning to help prevent your fire from escaping. There were no structures burned or damaged, only privately owned utility trailers suffered minor damage.
We would like to thank Avalon Fire, Bagdad Fire, the City of Milton Fire, and especially the citizens who came out yesterday to help us with putting Squad 21 in service.

Congratulations to Firefighter/EMT Evan Bassham for completing his one year probation. Evan graduated EMT and fire academy in 2022. He joined Pace Fire in February of 2023 and began his probation. He is currently working on his driver/operator classes. Welcome to the next step Evan.

Help us congratulate FF/EMT Chelsea Chojnacki for completing her one year Probation with Pace Fire. She started in the fire service in 2021 as a volunteer firefighter with Holt VFD and graduated the fire academy in 2021. Chelsea joined Pace Fire as a career FF in January of 2023 while she finished and gratuated EMT school. She is currently working on her Florida Driver/Operator certification and her Bachelors in Fire Science. Congrats Chelsea and welcome to the next step.
Final day of Aerial Operations Course hosted by Pace Fire Rescue District. Great job by all the departments involed, Pace Fire, Crestview Fire, Escambia Fire, and Avalon Fire.
Happy Birthday dinner and dessert for Lieutenant Robert McClelland from his crew. Robert joined PFRD in 2015 with the Junior Firefighter Program and continues honing his craft to where he is today as Lieutenant/Paramedic on Engine 21 at our Pea Ridge Station. He was treated with steak, baked potato, asparagus, and cake for dinner. Happy Bday LT!

Rescue 21 participated in an MVA with extrication demonstration with Avalon Fire Rescue, Bagdad Fire Rescue, and Lifeguard EMS on Thursday using the Jaws of Life tools to cut open a vehicle to remove patients for transport. The demonstration was provided for the Leadership Santa Rosa group.
UPDATE 10:40 a.m. - Thur., Nov. 16 - The Verizon network issues have been resolved. Verizon customers should now be able to make 911 calls again.
UPDATE 10 a.m. - Thur., Nov. 16 - Verizon customers with landlines are also experiencing intermittent outages in addition to those with cell phones.
Residents who are unable to reach 911 or 850-983-5370 should go to the nearest fire station or police station. Fire department information can be found online at www.santarosa.fl.gov/482/Fire-Departments.
Verizon is aware of the issue and is working to correct it as soon as possible. The estimated time of repair is unknown.

Residents with Verizon experiencing an emergency should call 850-983-5370 if unable to get through to 911.
***Please DO NOT make test calls.
They have full size candy bars at Pace Patriot Blvd and Pace Road by the school.
We will have crews at Santa Villa Park and at Pace Patriot Bvd and Pace Rd. Please stop by and take all their candy so it will not be brought back to the firehouse.

Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners has issued an Emergency Ban on burning. The ban is in effect from October 31st through November 6th.

Pace Fire Rescue has been proudly serving the Pace,Pea Ridge, Floridatown, Wallace, and South Chumuckla communities and its visitors for over 50 years.
We operate out of Fire Station Station #1 which is located on Pace Patriot Blvd that is manned with 6 career personnel per shift who are Firefighter / EMT or Firefighter /Paramedic certified. We respond to approximately 3,000 calls per year. We have currently 3 outline stations that Volunteers can respond to Emergency calls with an apparatus or they can come to our main station and respond as well. We are an Advanced Life Support department which means when we have one of our Paramedics on scene, they can provide Advanced Life Support while waiting on an ambulance to transport. This allows us to provide the most beneficial and proactive care to those in need. Please feel free to contact us for any questions or concerns.
