Today we are recognizing National Special Education Day!!!

An elementary special education teacher plays a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. Their responsibilities include creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students, providing specialized instruction tailored to each student's needs, collaborating with general education teachers to ensure inclusive practices, and assessing student progress. They also work closely with parents, support staff, and administrators to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Additionally, they may provide accommodations and modifications to classroom materials and assessments, as well as support students in developing social and emotional skills. Thank you for all that you do for our school!

Good news for families: Kentucky's Summer P-EBT plan is approved, and benefits will be issued on or around Nov. 15. Total reimbursement is $120 per eligible student. Enrollment in Summer P-EBT is automatic for public and private school students. Federal law prohibits homeschool students, virtual students and children not enrolled in school from receiving Summer P-EBT. For more information about Summer P-EBT, call 1-833-501-5297.
