Responsibilities include, but not limited to: assisting in everyday dental procedures, room setup and turnaround, x-rays, lab duties as needed, sterilize instruments according to regulation, keep exam rooms clean and well stocked, schedule appointments. Radiology certificate is necessary for this position.

NOW HIRING! Poat Family Dentistry is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
*Assisting with dental procedures such as fillings and crowns
*Taking and pouring dental impressions (molds of the mouth)
*Talking with and calming patients
*Performing administrative tasks using Eagle Soft Dental software
*Preparing examination areas
*Cleaning up after dental procedures
*Sterilizing instruments

As of today and through the rest of the week, PFD will be closed due to COVID-19 exposure and short staffing. We will be calling patients with appointments scheduled for this week to reschedule. We are so sorry for the inconvenience and we hope to reopen Monday, January 24. Stay safe out there!

Due to the devastation in our local communities, we are opening up Poat Family Dentistry as a drop off location for supplies needed for our surrounding areas. We have an enclosed trailer set up at our location, 2333 Broadway, Paducah, KY 42001 to accept donations to be distributed to those directly affected by the recent tornadoes. Our first load will be delivered Wednesday December 15th.

The list of what I’ve seen in circulation on social media comes down to:
- personal items (clothing, underwear, cold weather garments, socks, blankets, bedding, etc)
- hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, brushes, shampoo & conditioner, soap, body wash, feminine products, etc)
- pet care (food, beds, kennels, etc)
- baby and child items (clothing, formula, food, etc)
- cleanup items (hard hats, work gloves, headlamps, glasses or goggles, etc)
- food items (nonperishables, bottled water)
