Tackled a few wreaths this year too! Thank you to customers who trusted me with their front entrances. ☺️

These wreath sashes have been a hit!!! $45 I can whip one up for you!! Several fabric choices and lots of designs for fall (pumpkins, ghosts, turkeys, leaves) or plan ahead for Christmas!!

Well I’ve taken up another craft! Needlepoint. I’ve wanted to learn for years and a dear friend convinced me! For customers… I can finish your designs into ornaments etc. If you know you know that making ornaments etc is waaayyyy more than anyone would dare to pay… the painted designs are $$$, time, fibers and finishing. Got finished work laying around unfinished… I’m your girl!!!

Last summer’s project… Finished today!! A place for bees and butterflies to refresh with a drink of water. I’m excited because my elephant ears are growing. Just in time for Art to say, “We should make more!” Gonna try other leaf varieties. Wouldn’t they be cute tucked into a garden bed too? May even try a fountain feature I’ve seen on Pinterest. I love this!!

Monograms in single, two or three letter designs for linens and decor. Holiday frames and darling seasonal icons to embellish napkins and guest towels. New this year too are crests to announce a new baby that can go from hospital to nursery as keepsakes or to make that first birthday highchair all the more festive. Decorative banners for showers and birthdays can be customized to match color or theme. Summer brides love the engagement pillows with name, monogram or one of a kind designs detailing the couples past and incorporating their present! I sure enjoyed the opportunity to wrap this wedding gift. I think it turned out beautifully with a hint of bling to accent the traditional silver and white foil paper and oversized bow. Need a gift(s) wrapped for any occasion? I can do that!!

My Sunday Sermon: 𝙵𝚊𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚗𝚞𝚛𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎𝚜 𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚏 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚜 𝚏𝚎𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚋𝚞𝚒𝚕𝚍 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚏𝚒𝚍𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚜 𝚊 𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚛 𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚘𝚕𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚍𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚕𝚘𝚙𝚜 𝚊𝚗 𝚞𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚙𝚙𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎 𝚈𝙾𝚄!!

As you consider New Year resolutions, reflect on others you’ve made in years’ past. Think about those you followed through on and those that fell by the wayside. Can you understand the difference? Maybe you’ve tackled every one and made deep rooted changes. Maybe, like me, you find yourself repeating the same ones. Why? Why are some people successful and others struggle to maintain those desires to improve or change something they feel is a challenge.

No matter what it is, we all recognize things about ourselves that need improving. Last year, struggling with a challenge, I realized that ‘motivation’ wasn’t the key for me. That voice of doubt can rear its ugly head and I’d make every excuse why what I was pursuing or working toward wasn’t going to happen. Settle into that negative thought process and nothing no matter how important gets done. Having discovered that fault in myself I turned to blindly relying on ‘consistency’. No excuses! Just do it! No thought just action. I’d build myself up, make a plan and jump right in only to find the first alteration in my schedule or stressor and I’d struggle staying consistent. Then I’d loose my motivation and momentum. It could be an outside or internal motivator and still I’d fall off that ‘wagon’. Well, that wasn’t always helpful either.

The last several weeks has had me digging a bit deeper into the, ‘why can’t I stick to something?’ A scripture study I’ve been following spoke to me… it was unrelated to personal growth or any of the number of resolutions I’m wanting to tackle. It was merely on the subject of ‘belief’ ~ How belief convicts us to stand strong. 𝑊ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑤𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑞𝑢𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑛 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔, 𝑤𝑒 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑢𝑛𝑠ℎ𝑎𝑘𝑒𝑛. That belief gives us confidence to stay true in our convictions and we feel that in our hearts. It’s a burning desire even a tingling sensation in our being. I realized that I didn’t ‘believe’ in myself. Sure, I have confidence in areas of my life and yes I’m successful in following through on those tasks but not where I really want to make changes. We have to find the key to believing we CAN break free of what’s holding us back from being successful in making a permanent change in whatever area we seek to change.

𝑆𝑒𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑜 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑘. Seeing that you are worthy of whatever it is you desire to change is going to become the belief that you can and will. I think this is the single most difficult aspect of myself and I’m determined to face it and fight those negative thoughts that are holding me down. I know someone is reading this and can relate. I hope I can inspire that one person to come to the same realization. 𝐵𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛 𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑣𝑒𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑒𝑙𝑠𝑒. As I’ve said before, we cheer on others but tear ourselves apart critically.

Listening to another Christian speaker enlightened me to another realization. 𝑊ℎ𝑦 𝑑𝑜 𝑤𝑒 𝑓𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑣𝑖𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑚 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑛𝑒𝑔𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑠? We often say flippantly that, “It’s the devil talking”. I struggle with ‘is it the devil or is it the cold hard truth’? Again, we can’t move beyond that mindset if we ‘believe’ it’s either. Keep in mind, the devil hears those SAME words from you. He registers those negative thoughts and whispers them right back to you. You BELIEVE them because they ARE YOUR OWN WORDS!! It’s not the devil telling you lies nor are they the truth… they’re your OWN WORDS!! 🛑 The first step to believing in yourself is to 𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑝 𝑔𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑑𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑙 𝑎𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑓 𝑑𝑜𝑢𝑏𝑡!! If you cannot yet trust your worthiness, start with 𝑟𝑒𝑓𝑟𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑛𝑒𝑔𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑓 𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑘. Remember, you are a valuable person just as anyone you encounter who is struggling. You wouldn’t criticize someone hurting or question their worth. 𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝐺𝑜𝑑! 𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑎 𝑝𝑢𝑟𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑒. 𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑡ℎ𝑦. Worthy of everything you give to those you love. Just because we are in our own heads constantly and we truly know our own weaknesses and faults doesn’t make us less deserving or less exemplary.

So… as we take mental inventory of this fresh start, this new year… consider how you feel about yourself. I’m struggling, indeed but I recognize that belief as it relates to faith is the same in regard to myself. 𝐺𝘰𝑑 𝑤𝘢𝑛𝘵𝑠 𝑢𝘴 𝘵𝑜 𝑙𝘰𝑣𝘦 𝘰𝑢𝘳𝑠𝘦𝑙𝘷𝑒𝘴 𝘢𝑠 𝘏𝘦 𝘭𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘴 𝘶𝑠. To feel unworthy, to self deprecate or question that self love is putting a wedge between God and self. We stand on the other side of the door knocking but God cannot come into our lives most fully unless we INVITE Him in by opening the door. Not loving ourselves is a shut door to God’s love. We are not allowing ourselves to accept HIS love if we refuse to love ourselves. 𝑊𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑓 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒, 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑓 𝑖𝑛 𝑜𝑛𝑒’𝑠 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠, 𝑤𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑒 𝑤𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑎𝑐𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑖𝑠ℎ 𝑎𝑛𝑦𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑤𝑒 𝑤𝑜𝑛’𝑡! 𝑊𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑑𝑜 𝑖𝑡 𝑎𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑒.

In short… love self ➡️ accepting God’s love = feelings of worthiness and belief in self ➡️ you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to achieving!! 𝑌𝑜𝑢 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑡 BELIEVING ‘YOU’RE 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑑𝑜 𝑖𝑡! Internally, without question! Now, rethink those new year goals with a different mindset. Before I tackle any resolution, I have to work on my own mindset ❣️and as I dedicate the first hour of my morning to my faith, I’m seeing so much change in myself. It is truth! 𝙵𝚊𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚗𝚞𝚛𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎𝚜 𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚏 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚜 𝚏𝚎𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚋𝚞𝚒𝚕𝚍 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚏𝚒𝚍𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚜 𝚊 𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚛 𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚘𝚕𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚍𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚕𝚘𝚙𝚜 𝚊𝚗 𝚞𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚙𝚙𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎 𝚈𝙾𝚄!! Increase faith▶️increase quality of life!!

My intensions were to make one for each of my five children 20+ years ago but this one is as far as I got until a dear friend has encouraged me to market them. I’ve collected retired and consigned bridal gowns and antique ribbons and decorations over the last year. I’m very proud and excited to offer them as my first project venture for the new year. Lots of new designs will be launching in all facets of creativity 🥰 for 2024.
