🪄 Powder Brows - Color Correction with Coverup

I often get clients with previous work that need a touch up or correction after moving away from their previous artist.

Working on clients with old work is totally doable and the results are beautiful!

🛑 Not everyone qualifies for this. I definitely need to have a consultation to see your brows to be able to tell you if I can help, so please reach out before booking 🙏🏼

🛑 It’s also important to note, I do let my clients with previous work (that hasn’t completely faded) know that they will eventually benefit from removal.

This is for two reasons:
☝🏼 Any new work that’s designed to fade will eventually age and reveal the old pigment.

✌🏼 Eventually, multiple coverups will cause your brows to become too saturated, and may darken/discolor further.

When you initially get your brows done, they may appear darker and bolder than you would expect. This is normal and not at all how your brows will heal!

The pigments used in cosmetic tattooing undergo an initial oxidation process when they come into contact with the air, causing your brows to darken temporarily but it will lighten ~ 40% as the skin heals.

How long your Powder Brows will last depends on various factors, but you can expect fading to begin 10-12 months after your final look is achieved.

Powder brows is a natural brow enhancement similar to microblading but is much less invasive and lasts longer. They’re meant to resemble a makeup look and can be bold and intense or light and airy.

My favorite part about powder brows may surprise you…they last longer than microblading, yet fade overtime. You’ll notice they’ll be significantly lighter within 18 months (optional color boost is done annually).

It’s important that the results fade overtime for the most natural looking brows. Unlike body tattooing, powder brows are a cosmetic enhancement done on your face. The last thing you want are gray, blue brows!

The beautiful healed results, versatility, and gentle technique make powder brows my absolute favorite brow enhancement!

The first step in achieving beautiful healed brows is preparation. Anything your skin has been put through in the days leading up to your powder brows procedure can cause irritation, excessive bleeding, and skin sensitivity, all of which affect how the pigment settles into your brows.

Some easy things to remember to avoid:
🌹 Any active ingredient skincare (retinoids, vitamin C, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, peels)
🌹 Caffeine (24 hours before and day of procedure)
🌹 Direct sunlight/tanning

Even though it's called "permanent" makeup, powder brows are NOT meant to last forever. Think about it...why would you want something akin to a body tattoo on your face? Unless of course, that's what you're going for 👩🏻‍🎤

Powder brows can be light and airy, or dark and dramatic - whichever suits you best. In either case, you want the pigment to slowly fade over 1-3 years from the final healed results.

👉🏼 I completed an advanced brow training over the weekend with Kiara of . This 1-on-1 training was PACKED with info! Not only did I upgrade my machine and leave with a To Do List to improve business operations, I learned amazing technique.
