Job Description:
S.E. Cline Construction, Inc., a premier marine & heavy highway construction company, is looking for a Estimator to join our growing team. With our office in Palm Coast, FL we serve clients throughout central Florida with our marine group and St. Johns, Clay, Putnam, Flagler, Volusia, and surrounding counties with our heavy civil land development group.

Principal Purpose:
• Prepare detailed estimates in accordance with the scope of work, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare quantity take-offs, for marine systems, pile driving, seawall, cast in place concrete, structural steel, pipe, and process equipment.
• Understanding and knowledge of mathematics as well as computing skills to include; Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, CAD, with any additional experience being a plus.
• Assist/ prepare project specific construction schedule(s) using Microsoft Project.
• Have proven experience in estimating project values ranging from $100k - $10M.
• Apply work hour unit rates for each item in the estimate to generate the overall direct work hours.
• Understand the construction equipment requirements.
• Understand the temporary facilities requirement and field non-manual staffing requirements.
• Assist in the solicitation of quotes from material and equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and specified manufacturers.
• Distributes and maintains control of bid documents.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Identifies special Client or project requirements for weather protection, cranes, hoists, HES requirements, and services.
• Analyze project location and productivity associated with the location.
• Reviews labor costs and applicable licensing requirements.
• Ensure that all materials and equipment meet the specification requirements.
• Ensures that all bid forms are completed and properly executed.

• Facilitate bid review meetings with Management, Estimating group, and/or business line management to finalize bid.
• Coordinate with other departments during the bid process and on proposal(s).
• 3-5+ years experience with marine, heavy civil, industrial mechanical estimating of other crafts will be a plus
• Construction field experience highly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of construction industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities.
• Knowledge of estimating Best Practices.
• Occasional travel required.
• Follow safety regulations while on job site visits including the wearing of proper attire, safety gear, protective hat, safety glasses and shoes as required.
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, ethical, and a team player willing to grow with the company.
• Overtime may be required to meet work demands.
Physical Requirements
• Office environment – indoor with low to moderate levels of noise
• Read engineering blueprints and reduced size black and white drawings, specifications, fine print, reports, schedules, estimates and other documents in either hard copy or computer monitor.
• Required on occasion to observe construction progress outdoors by walking or driving to or on the site over rough or uneven terrain which may be dusty, muddy, wet, and noisy.
