๐น Headline Inflation: Rose 0.1% in June, matching estimates. Year-over-year, it dipped from 2.6% to 2.5%. Energy costs fell by 1%, contributing to this low headline figure.
๐ Core Inflation: Excluding food and energy, core inflation rose by 0.2%, hotter than expected. Year-over-year, it remained at 2.6%.
๐ Shelter Costs: Increased by 0.27% in June, an improvement from Mayโs 0.42%. Year-over-year, shelter costs rose by 5.35%, down from 5.54%. Rent and owners' equivalent rent also saw declines.
