Quiet Elegance: A 2022 Pinnacle Award Winner 🏆
The design of the pool was influenced by the homes curved roofline. For that reason, the infinity edge pool/spa, the raised fire & water feature , and sunken area are curved all along the perimeter.
Also, the homeowner requested for the spa to disappear when not being used so it required our entire team to get creative & put on our thinking caps. 👉

These stone walls were built to create privacy but also to install custom stainless steel scuppers on the front and back of the wall to create water noise to both the courtyard side and to the front of the house towards the driveway.

Let’s talk about a “WOW” factor for a front entry!
This courtyard water feature consists of 21 bubblers, 32 color led lights, and we worked alongside with to make 5 custom stainless steel wall mount scuppers & 2 enormous floating stainless steel electronic ignition fire-pits.
For the engineering aspect of this water feature we worked with & home structural engineer to achieve the best look possible. Which required the house footing to have an angle to allow the thickness of the water feature shell to go under the slab of the home and accomplish the flush look as shown on the pictures.

We are excited to share the final product of this INCREDIBLE project that made us think outside the box in many ways and required a high level of PRECISION & ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

It took almost a year of preplanning and a long time to execute but we are more than thrilled with the final result.

This Custom Pool and Spa consists of an acrylic panel across the entire width of the pool that also acts as an infinity edge with water spilling into both sets of steps in the sunken area. In order for the water to flow over the entire length of the acrylic we had to fabricate custom drains to catch the water and flow into the catch basin covered in river rock. On the wet side there are three bar stools with bubbles coming from the ground and on the dry side a custom acrylic table was designed to create an illusion of a floating bar table.

If you’re looking to add something to lighten up your pool area, consider installing a fire pit like this one from Outdoor Plus. A fire pit addition beside the pool allows your pool to be the focal point of your backyard and it will also keep you warm during the desert winter seasons 🥶

What is a spool? That’s a question we get often. A spool is a blend of a small pool and a large spa in one. It achieves the functionality of both a pool and spa without having to build two bodies of water, which works great in small spaces like this 13ft. x 8ft. addition for our clients courtyard.

Some characteristics are:
Clean, minimal lines, Broad roof overhangs, Walls of glass and large windows, Open and well-defined floor-plans, Modern and traditional building materials, Asymmetrical designs, and a relationship to the outside environment.
For example, in this pool project you can see how the square spa and rectangular pool, along with the boulders in the pool ties in together with surrounding the desert.

The surface used in this pool was “Deep Stormy Seas” Plaster. Colored plaster is a great option for adding color to your pool while keeping the smoothness texture of plaster.

There are many decisions to be made when it comes to what elements you can include in your back yard. In this backyard, you can see three:

1. 💧Water - the pool, shooters, bubblers
2. 🔥 Fire - firepit
3. 🍃 Earth - landscaping, turf strips, concrete

Why pick one? When you can add them all 👏🏼

Are you interested in installing concrete along with your new pool and spa but don’t want the traditional concrete look? A great way to spice up your backyard is to add synthetic turf strips in between the concrete. It’s a common new trend, not to mention it is a lot more low maintenance than a live lawn and it’s a perfect place to hide the drains for your deck! 📌

Check out these fire bowls! A total of five were installed in this project. Most bowls come in a round or squared shape but for this project we had them custom made to fit the raised walls we designed and are all to be controlled from the phone system ScreenLogic 🤳🏼
