Music with Mar. - the “TOADal Story”

Music with Mar. classes began when Maryann Harman was home on leave from her job as a music teacher in Pinellas County, FL. Maryann, or Mar., has taught music from preK - 8th grade since 1977. It was while attending playgroups with her daughter, Gioia, she realized that as much as she loved being a stay-at-home mom, she did miss working with children and music. She began playing with the families using music and it grew into a more organized activity when she took over a play class someone else was teaching.

Another woman who was on maternity leave sent Mar. a message that she would like to teach her classes. Hm? That’s an interesting idea. Today, Music with Mar. classes are taught internationally and Mar. is very grateful for and proud of the many others who help spread the joy and benefits of music.
