Thank you Nonprofits First for your Rising Leaders Program! This group of exceptional leaders chose Hispanic Human Resources Council for their service learning project. They created an amazing Alumni Tracking system that will allow us to keep track of our VPK students transitioning to Kindergarten! We are so fortunate to have had this opportunity! Gracias!

GREAT NEWS! The Hispanic Human Resources Council (HHRC) is thrilled to announce its selection as part of the 2024 program! HHRC is one of only four in the State of Florida and one of only 100 projects across the US chosen by Lowe's Home Improvement . The grant will directly benefit the 300 young children and nearly 1,000 family members served by HHRC annually by focusing on critical improvements to seven buildings at the New Pines and Luciano Martinez Child Development Centers. The work will include building upgrades, foundation and cement work, painting, and walkway repairs. Lowe’s volunteers will also assist with landscaping to complete the beautification of the property.

Stay tuned and watch the improvements as HHRC transforms itself and gets a facelift!

There are many benefits to YOGA and meditation! Today Heather Berg from Soul Garden Yoga taught our teachers and staff yoga and meditation. At Hispanic Human Resources Council we value our employees good health by providing wellness and training days. Some of the many benefits of yoga and meditation include improved mental health, flexibility, focus, posture, sleep, and other health benefits. Thank you to Heather for improving the health of our HHRC employees!

Happy Birthday Dr. Suess! At Hispanic Human Resources Council we had a day filled with reading and fun activities for Reading Across America Day Celebration and Dr. Seuss' birthday. We had some community partners, GFWC Greater West Palm Beach Women's Club, and "princesses" with Miss Miami and Miss Palm Beach County reading to our three and four year old classrooms. Thank you to our who made the day special and all those who came and joined in the fun!

This past week HHRC celebrated our by highlighting activities that showed the importance of honoring their home languages while providing staff tools and strategies to further support children who are Dual Language Learners and their families. Activities included storytimes in children's home language, arts and crafts activities and learning about how sports bring all people together despite any language barrier.

Everyday is the "BEST DAY EVER" when we have community members read to our classrooms. Thank you to WPTV employee Fiona Daghir for your time to read our 4-year-old classroom!!!

Hispanic Human Resources Council is very grateful to GFWC Greater West Palm Beach Women's Club for their love of literacy and their support of HHRC! We now have a Little Free Library for our children to choose books to read at home. How exciting that the ribbon was cut with these fabulous ladies, the HHRC management team, and our Board member Susy Díaz Piesco. Now families have access to books. We love increasing our children's literacy. Thank you GFWC Greater West Palm Beach Women's Club!!!

On the fifth day of Christmas at Hispanic Human Resources Council, there were no rings to be given. However, gold and silver from gift cards sparkled this year for our families. Many parents have been struggling with rising inflation and lost jobs. This year our HHRC friends adopted some families to give the gift of love and smiles! Our Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Specialists hand delivered these gifts.

We are so grateful to our family adopters for your dedication to take care of the community! Did you know that Hispanic Human Resources Council has opened a Family Resource Center?! This center serves our families and the local community with finding resources and services that allows individuals to not only survive, but thrive!

We are very thankful to our highspeed internet partner, Comcast, for their generous donation of a TV for the lobby and laptops for our families to work on while completing applications to receive resources and services. Congratulations to Hispanic Human Resources Council CEO, Dr. Fabiana DesRosiers, for being chosen to serve as a Board of Trustee for HCA Florida JFK Hospital and HCA Florida JFK North Hospital. As a community member on the Board, Dr. DesRosiers is proud to serve and will continue to champion for and strengthen the lives of minority families in Palm Beach County. We hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! Kudos to our Center Directors, Mabel Da Silva Datena and Nilsa Montanez for coordinating such amazing Falloween Festivities. Did you know that Dress-up play allows children to use their imagination and pretend to be someone different that reflects their personality and current interests?

Today, Hispanic Human Resources Council’s CEO, Fabiana DesRosiers, was invited to meet with the WPTV News Channel 5 team. They were so welcoming at their EDI meeting where we talked about the challenges faced by Hispanic and Haitian immigrant populations and how HHRC helps educate children and strengthen families for a more successful tomorrow.
