📣Look who stopped by today! 🚔👮🏻‍♂️🚲

Sergeant Frank Guarino from the Palm Springs Police Department paid us a courtesy visit, he came by to discuss details about the grant the Palm Springs Police Department received to combat retail theft and safeguard our beloved local businesses. 🏍️✨🛡️💪

Some of the funds are available to support crime prevention, including things like installing window security film, buying CCTV cameras with centralized real-time monitoring, and free consultations on situational crime prevention.

We want to extend our gratitude to Sergeant Frank Guarino and our Chief of Police Andy Mills for their unwavering commitment to keeping our community safe. 👮‍♂️🙏 Their dedication and hard work are truly commendable, and we are grateful for all they do to protect and support Palm Springs. 🌴☀️💖🌵👏

A big Thank you to the “Desert Roadrunners” cycling group of Palm Springs! Your dedication to promoting cycling and fostering a sense of community is truly commendable. Thank you for all that you do to promote cycling, foster camaraderie, and the fundraising you do for the AIDS/LifeCycle year after year!
For those of you who may not be familiar with it, the AIDS/LifeCycle is a seven day 545 mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. This event raises awareness about the ongoing HIV/AIDS, epidemic and funds services, such as HIV testing, prevention, care, and much more.

The Desert Roadrunner’s passion for cycling not only encourages a healthy and active lifestyle but also contributes to the overall well-being of individuals and the community as a whole. The members of this group have undoubtedly created a positive impact in Palm Springs by inspiring others to embrace the joy and benefits of biking.

We hope you continue to come together for many years! Your commitment to organizing group rides, and supporting local causes showcases your deep sense of community spirit.

We are saddened, disappointed, and confused. What would drive someone to do this? We are a small, locally-owned business that welcomes all. We would be equally outraged if this had happened to another business or a different flag, whether it be an American flag, a flag from a different country, or a Pride flag. Our business is owned and run by an eclectic team of individuals with various ethnic backgrounds, sexual preferences, and age groups, but we all share one thing in common: respect - not only for each other but also for anyone who walks through our doors.

We fly many flags, and this time it happens to be the USA flag. It is a symbol of national unity, freedom, and sacrifice. Damaging and disrespecting it is the utmost disregard for those values. The disrespect and lack of human decency displayed in this video is what is most disheartening. However, even after the disgusting behavior of the person who did this, there is a kind man who picks up the flag from the ground, rolls it up, and places it in a safe place off the middle of the sidewalk. We want to express our gratitude to that kind stranger. It gives us hope in humanity.

She’s definitely a Champion! This bike rental experience was a first for us!
Super sweet Katy walked in and said “I need a bike for my girlfriend who has a broken foot.” lol 🤔
I didn’t know how to respond, 😳 but after chatting for a bit and hearing the whole story it simply made sense! 😜
This is what happens when you’re surfing/break your foot but still need to get around in Palm Springs for the pride festival! 🌈Pushin’ herself around on a bike with one foot cause she couldn’t find a wheelchair! ♿️ What a trooper! It was a pleasure meeting you both!

VANDALIZED! Yes, again! 😞 Another broken window, this time at the new BIKE Palm Springs location on Tahquitz Canyon Way. We dealt with this 4 years ago, thousands of dollars out the door thanks to this person who has committed a senseless crime. Fortunately the Palm Springs Police Department arrived on scene quickly, nothing was stolen and they searched the store for an intruder but after looking at the surveillance cameras it appears that he picked up a rock and threw it at the window and took off. When is this going to end? This is so infuriating! On top of it we had to stay at the shop overnight until 6:00 am until the Lowes/Home Depot opened to get materials to board up the window. None of the 24 hour glaziers picked up the calls, so its been a very long night! Thank you again to for the prompt response!

Today marks the 21st anniversary of one of the most horrible tragedies in history. Never forget 9/11/2001 … We will forever return to this date and honor the lives lost. Experiencing the grief over those who are gone should continue to unite and strengthen us. We hope for a better world for all, we should all work
towards that. Let us remember that the unity, strength & comfort we found in one another THEN can still be found in the trying times & struggles we
currently find ourselves in NOW.
