When Santa comes to Miami, he doesn’t want milk and cookies. We heard that he prefers a cafecito and croquetas for his midnight snack!! 😍

Burning the midnight oil at the Hernandez-Williams Nailed It DIY studio/garage 🤣 Honestly I am working hard getting as much done as possible for the harvest fest this weekend. This is one of the biggest festivals we have here in Miami and it’s inside!! We are at the Dade County Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday. I have to tell you that the new promoter for this event has so many amazing local HANDCRAFTED vendors attending that you will be happy you checked it out. Come by and say hello ☺️ until then I will be in the garage cutting and sanding away!!

Everyday I try to think about all of the things that I am thankful for. This project was inspired by that feeling. Honestly, don’t we all have struggles? We all have something going on that no one may know and for me there is so much good that outweighs the bad in my life. Today I am grateful for all of the things in my life that bring me comfort and joy.

I spent the day cutting up and sanding down the bar countertops from the studio. It’s funny because when I started working with wood, years before I opened Nailed It, I only used recycled wood. Talk about a full circle moment 🤍

I was thrilled that my customer loved her custom stovetop cover we made for her!! When she sent me this picture I totally understood why. Doesn’t it look great in her kitchen? Now I am not sure what I love more, the way the stovetop cover came out or that backsplash in her kitchen 🤍🤍🤍

Happy Halloween 👻🎃💀 I had a great time working on some Halloween projects with the kids at Holtz Childrens Hospital.

Come to our event and let’s do a DIY project with our guests, she said. She proceeded that with, we can’t make a mess though so no paint 🤣😳😉

Miami Mom Collective was having a moms night out aka a Halloween PARTY 👻🕺🏻🥂 and let me tell you, they KNOW how to throw a party!!!!! We were graciously invited to have a DIY table and as I said earlier I needed to come up with an idea for these moms to have a crafty experience.

This is my favorite time of year and I just love decorating with things I make throughout the holidays. There is just something about seeing how cute that project looks in your home and it has a way to make me smile. Thanksgiving is always a fun time to make family projects and I used to love doing that with my kids. Usually I would center it around being thankful and how to be grateful for who and what we have in our life. That is how I thought of the GRATEFUL JAR for the moms to make. The idea is a simple one 🤍 Grab a jar and write a few different prompts on how to be grateful on them. During the month of November, everyday leading up to Thanksgiving, have your kids pull a card out of the jar and answer the question. I personally feel that having these conversations on how to be grateful helps teach our kids is just so important, SO that is what we did!!

We provided the jars and of course some things to make it look cute. I had stacks of pretty card stock cut up and ready for all of the moms to write out some prompts and if they were stuck on what to write I also provided some ideas to help them along the way. It was honestly such a fun and let’s not forget CUTE, DIY project to make.

Enjoying my Friday night working on a custom order. These are scrabble letters that we configured with each of her family members name. I love anything personalized so I am excited to see this one once it’s all set up and hanging on the wall!!
