Yesterday we were all abuzz in community and conversation with local thought leaders about Neurodiversity in Silicon Valley. Special thanks go Ellen Moir and Kelly Pope for gathering a thoughtful group of deep thinkers. And we couldn't be more grateful for our panelists, who are passionately committed to making the Valley a more inclusive place - Zahra Murtaza from CHC, Lawrence Fung from Stanford Medicine, Jennifer Madigan from San Jose State Spartans, and REEL's own Abby Kirigin.
Audience comments included:
"I was inspired by the focus on strengths and moving away from a treatment model. I was also struck by the emphasis on collaboration."
"I was inspired by everything! All the speakers were amazing."
"Wondering about how we can begin policy work to not only change mindsets but to change structure and process."
"Is any person being left out of the term 'neurodivergent'?"
A lot of great work - and collaboration - lie ahead!
