"This weekend I coached a group in Pittsburgh that Rhiannon Jenkins has been working with. Three hours of great work with some talented performers.

I love the first practice with a group. I lay a lot of groundwork and set my expectations and show them a way to improvise they've never seen before.

It helped that several took the Raaatscraps workshops this weekend, so I could touch base with them on things they'd learned.

I like taking the frustration and anxiety away so they can just play and make each other laugh. The looks of relief and excitement at the end!

We're going to get them a show. And it's going to be great."

It’ll be 12 monthly sessions where we explore how you can use the natural rhythms of your menstrual cycle to bolster your creative life.

Syllabus includes:
- understanding your menstrual cycle: hormonal changes, timing, what to expect
- understanding changes to your menstrual cycle: pregnancy, illness, lactation, perimenopause and menopause
- working with your body's natural rhythms
- scheduling work to fit your cycle
- setting boundaries with colleagues, family, and friends
- working with other menstruators
- menstruation and art

The course is designed to be inclusive beyond only cis-women, and anti-trans sentiments are not welcome.

There’s bursary spots available, audio-only participation is warmly welcomed, and closed captioning is available.

Meet the team: Chris Griswold

Chris is the founder and head honcho at Thunderbolt. What they don't know about improv and comedy (probably) isn't worth knowing!

Chris has performed and taught improv for 25 years, spending more than a decade in the NYC improv comedy scene. In New York, he was a performer at the Annoyance theatre and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, and he worked for world-class UCB Training Center.

Chris is one of the world’s most prolific improv teachers, having trained thousands of students worldwide. His students have gone on to write, direct, or star in such things as Weird (The Weird Al biopic), The Simpsons, Saturday Night Live, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Three Busy Debras, Silicon Valley, New Girl, The President Show, Inside Amy Schumer, and Broadways’ Stuffed.

He hosts the Improv Discussion and Resources podcast and co-created Pineappl, the video app for live improv.

Chris writes and acts, appearing in a variety of sketch comedy videos, commercials, and PSAs, as well as co-writing and coaching TEDx Talks.

Chris specializes in improv technique and comedy, as well as genre improv.
