John Perry Barlow was a regular at Calafia for several years. Chef Charlie has many stories to tell. These are two of his favorites.
John called Chef one day at 8:30 PM saying "Please don’t close before I get there. I’m coming for a late dinner with a couple of friends." - It ended up being a party of 40 people.
Another time he called ahead asking for a nice table outside and if Chef could make something special for him and an old friend that was joining him for lunch. That friend ended up being Bobby.
Maybe the four winds blow John safely home. He will be missed but never forgotten.
